Hi, Lisa ~
Thank you for posting your picture! When I started the program over three and a half years ago I weighed just three pounds less than your starting weight and I am a lot more experienced in life than you are so my flabber had been hanging around on my frame a lot longer than yours.
I know this is a really big task that you and others are facing and it seems like it will be
FOREVER before you get to your goal.
Think about what it was like when you were a little kid and your Mom said you were going on a little trip, maybe to the beach or for a drive in the mountains, etc.
It seemed like it took so long for the family truckster to get packed, then just as everyone was about to leave the house, the landline phone rang, so the take off time was disrupted.
Then someone had to go potty.
Again.
FINALLY you were on your way.
You kept thinking about running on the beach, digging your toes into the cold sand, splashing in the surf, eating saltwater taffy, swimming in the indoor heated pool, slurping clam chowder and sleeping at a hotel!
The drive dragged on and on.
The city and suburban houses along the route became further apart and gave way to country houses, there were no stores or gas stations for a long while, you had to go potty, the trees of the forest took over the view and your bladder was about to
explode before Daddy pulled into the rest stop at the summit of the coast range.
The ride grinded on but all of a sudden...
There it was, as the family vehicle made the last turn,
the ocean! You arrived at the ocean!
Your journey to thinniness may feel a lot like the ride to the beach -
long! But singing along the way, telling stories, sharing, talking a walk around the block, all these things made the trip so much fun! And it made the journey seem rather enjoyable. Your Forum Family here is just like your family - we're riding right along with you! We'll sing, we'll laugh, we'll tell 'war' stories, some people will make pit stops along the way and when they do, we'll chase after them and bring them back to the car and we'll get to the beach together.
You're gonna do just fine! Now we see the 'before' picture, let's get on to the 'doing' part and we can't wait to see the 'after.'
Your goal is just a shake away!
