Well, it's almost the weekend, and I'm glad. With things as slow as they have been at work, it makes me want to peruse the classifieds. I'm all for getting paid for doing nothing, but this is getting ridiculous.

TOM is definately making it's presence known. I hung a towel over the scale this morning and promised myself that next time I get on there it will go down. I'm not getting on for two weeks. Maybe I'll have a nice surprise by then.

Grandpa went to see the nurse yesterday and they did bloodwork. It seems his red cell count is very very low from the bleeding. He said they gave him a shot and then an IV and told him to come back tomorrow (today). If you asked him what was in the shot or IV....."I don't know", if you ask him what they said about the bleeding etc. "I don't know"

So, it's frustrating.

I finally got my money back from the scam I got mixed up in. The bank canceled my debit card and are in the process of sending me a new one. So that's good news.

It's so pretty outside and I'm doing nothing but sitting at my desk to answer a phone that is not ringing. Not fair.

My prayers are with you and your grandfather, that he will get better and regain his will to keep going.

Hooray for getting your money back! That's terrific! I had to close all of my Mom's bank accounts and open new ones, because she gave out her checking account info over the phone to some stranger saying they were a government grant agency that wanted to deposit money into her account! I'm glad things went okay for you!

Hello all! I had a successful weekend all in all. I stayed on plan, I exercised, I got alot accomplished around the house. I'm avoiding the scale for now, darn thing. Focusing on compliance. TOM is finally past so things should be looking up in that regard. I found out last night that my big brother is starting a meal and exercise plan! I'm very happy for him. We talked about what I'm doing and how much I've lost so far, and he told me about what he's doing and his gym. We talked about our family history of diabetes, heart disease, colon cancer, high blood pressure, and on and on. You name it and we're prone to get it. I'm very glad to see him take an interest in his health. He is 31, 6'4" and he weighs 295.

On a sadder note, My grandpa had to get two pints of blood in the past few days to make up for all he's lost. He meets with the cancer doctor again on Wed. and the will re-evaluate their plan and see where to go from here. So far they have done chemo but the doctor may decide to go ahead now with the radiation. Thanks for your prayers. My grandpa is the toughest cat I know. It's hard to see him like this.

Thanks for the kind words Biki. I almost didn't recognize him yesterday. He had them shave his head because his hair was falling out. What he has left is pure white. He's so pale and gaunt looking, he seems to have aged 15 years in the past 3 months.

Hi all. I'm feeling good today and looking forward to another great MF day. Yesterday was good. Though I ate some peanuts in the afternoon. I just couldn't shake the hungries. Drinking alot of water today to help with all the salt. Me and the hubby spent some good quality time together last night. We watched American Idol and talked and talked. It seems we get along together so much better when we really talk to each other. When we get into the rut of "hey baby, how was your day" we start arguing alot. I didn't get in my exercise last night, but I've still got my schedule and I'm going to keep at it.

Here's my meal plan for today:
7:00 eggs
9:30 cocoa
12:00 blueberry oatmeal
3:00 cappacino
6:00 L and G (Pork chops with spinach)
8:30 shake

I peeked at the scale this morning and it said 233, but I'm not holding my breath. I will weigh in on Sunday so that I can do roll call with all of you. I pray for a loss.

So glad you had a good talk with hubby. Sometimes I ask him how his day was and don't even listen!

The Scale Finally moved!!!!

Postby jlaman79 » January 19th, 2007, 7:23 am

I'm so glad to be able to tell you that TADA!!!! I lost 2 more pounds!

It's about freakin time! 232 on the old scale this morning. That's only 3 pounds for the month of January so far, I really wanted to get to at least 5 pounds this month. I'm going to stay compliant and active. I will get to goal this year.

Jla;

How are you doing? I read in another thread that you were feeling stalled lately but I forgot to check the date on it so I don't know if it was an old one. I hope your grandfather is alright - it sounds like he is a wonderful and loving man, being willing to care for his grandson after his own kids were grown and his wife gone - I wish you all strength.

Thanks Nickie and Lucy, I appreciate you guys. I've been away from the computer lately. My 19 month old has been very sick with bronchitis and is finally getting better. Grandpa is about the same as before. He just took another round of chemo and it's hitting him hard this time.

I've been doing well with my meals and I've been exercising too! I feel good and strong and healthy. I'm staying off the scale until weigh in day so I'm trying to not even think about it.

I'm going to take a minute to catch up with everyone else and I'll post when I can.
