Jla - I'm sure we all want this to be faster. I have the feeling if somebody came up to me this second and said I'd be at my goal weight tomorrow, I'd still whine 'why not now?' Keep those positives in mind like you are doing - I liked the one about accomplishing outdoor work without keeling over - I know the feeling! Gone forever, kiddo!

Hi everybody,
It's certainly Monday isn't it?
TOM for me, tummy ache, etc. I'm still doing fine with my meal plan, trying to get my water consumption back where it needs to be.

Hubby called and he's cooking our dinner tonight. Should be interesting!

I've been thinking a great deal about my grandparents that are gone now. People have been telling me how much I remind them of my Grandmother. That's the best compliment anyone could possibly give me. It's also very true. I look like her, I'm built like her, I talk like her, and we shared many of the same opinions. Here's the clencher, my Grandmother passed two years ago on Christmas Day. Her primary medical complaint was diabetes. Her heart was weak, her gout rampaged her feet. She died in misery. Her husband, my grandfather that passed last week, had colon cancer twice, 3 heart attacks, and finally passed away in his sleep of heart failure.

Taking a look on my mom's side, we find arthritis, heart disease, and diabetes.

It's time for me to break the chain of preventable disease. I know we can't keep our selves from getting sick or developing disease, but I can lower my risk factors.

Well, how was the hubby meal? What a wonderful treat for hubby to offer to cook. I love when its nice outside because my DH loves to BBQ on the grill (and he's quite good at it too). I cook the inside stuff while he grills our meat to perfection. YUM YUM!!! :bib:

I totally agree, JLa. Just think how much you have already accomplished in this area. Good for you!!!!

Part of the reason I started Medifast was the reason you mentioned -to stop early death from heart disease and complications from diabetes in my body. In a relatively short time my doctor told me I was no longer testing as a diabetic and took me off my cholesterol drugs. So Medifast works! Even when I'm not losing I remind myself that every day on Medifast I am moving even further away from an early death and breaking the cycle and setting an example for my morbidly obese sisiter.

Hi all,
It's Thursday and I'm taking off tomorrow to spend a day with my daughter. TOM is almost over and I think I may get my magic scale moment in the morning. Everybody send skinny thoughts my way.

JLa~ I have my fingers on my temples rubbing them in circles saying, "skinny.....skinny.....skinny......skinny." (repeat that twice)

Here's hoping it works!!!!!!! Let us know if it does, because I'll be getting everyone I know to do it for me. ;)

I had a minute so I thought I'd drop back by. Here's a funny story for you..

This morning I just grabbed some black pants and a shirt that looked warm enough. By the time i got to work I realized these darn pants are way too big. They're kind of stretchy so it didn't seem that bad at first. Then I went to use the rest room and looked in the mirror, my coral colored bra was brilliantly clear through my shirt.

Frustrated and uncomfortable I went into the Fashion Connection store next door to my office. I found some cute jeans on sale and two shirts. Here's the best part of the story. The jeans are size 15/16! And there not tight at all. I even went back and looked to see if they had any 14's but these were the only pair in that style.

It's funny how our bodies shapes can change so much and yet still be so much the same. Sometimes my belly seems very flat, sometimes my arms look smaller, sometimes my rear looks different. Then I put on clothes that fit me and now I just look like a smaller version of my former self. My shape is still the same only, scaled down quite a bit. My hubby would probably argue with that point, but that's what I see.

Belly fat is my current nemesis. It seems that the smaller the rest of me gets the larger my belly fat seems to be. Now it just flops around and lays beside me in my bed at night. EEEuuugh! I cringe if the hubby happens to touch it. Some one tell me this will eventually go away.

Here's another short list of positives:
No more back fat.
No more love handles. (I still have my spare tire)
I don't worry about fitting in most chairs.
Started eyeing size 14 clothes.
I bought a two piece size 16 swim suit. (Haven't had a two piece since I was 10)

Hi all,

Well I've made it through Easter, my birthday, a co-workers party, and my grandparents estate sale. I chose to allow myself whatever I wanted within reason. The scale is up a couple of pounds and I feel bloated and swollen. Today is 100% compliance and lots of water. Back to the gym in the morning.

Catch up with you all soon.
