hi all, well i screwed up big time i had about 8 little jelly beans, do i have to start all over again? i was making such progress almost 10 pounds i am on my second week.

i feel like a failure for giving into tempation, and my 40th birthday is friday and i am going out to dinner, this is hard sometimes.

Well, 8 jelly beans won't cause you to gain all ten pounds back. However, you may have a few rough days with cravings. SO, no you won't have to start all over again, but it may be a couple of days before you see the scale move downward again. Hopefully you'll be feeling strong by the time your birthday rolls around

Also, because they might kick you out of ketosis, you might show some water-weight gain for a couple of days. It'll be gone again soon enough, though. If you weigh daily, you might want to hold off for a few days.

Only 8 jelly beans? Why did you even do it? I can't see throwing away the work I've done just for a few jelly beans... I certainly wouldn't want to go back through the hunger and cravings of the first 3 days again, either.

Don't go sabotaging yourself on purpose! Forgive me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you want to talk yourself into giving up so you can have whatever you want on your birthday.

Wouldn't you LOVE to be slim and svelte at your *next* birthday? THEN you can have cake and whatever you want to eat (in moderation, of course.)
