Yeah, what Robin and Jenn and Jo said!

Of course, I can't stop there--you know me! Wordy.
So...here's a word for you: Respond

By that I mean that reacting to your situation may be counterproductive to you at this point, whereas responding to your stressors may help you feel much more in control and on the offensive rather than the defensive. Robin is so right about finding healthy ways to cope.

Please don't think I'm "beating you up" over this, and I definitely do not think you're "wimpy." On the contrary--I think you are really strong. You just need to take back your power. You can do this. You know you can do this, you simply have to allow yourself to exert your strength. It's already in you, you just have to stop reigning it in and let it out where it can help you through this.

:pet:

Ladies~~Y'all rock! Thanks for the encouragement as I have totally needed it today.

After I posted the above I went back and reread it an hour later and thought "OMG I sound awful..I sound like I am giving up totally."
Well I am not giving up. Sure I am having some issues..actually one issue who weighs @ 170 with a 32 inch waist and a cute goatee. But we had a long talk this afternoon so I am hoping that That talk helps me work through this.

Then the best part was afterwards I left for some much needed Shopping Therapy~~Yep I did not turn to food! I went scrapbook shopping which is an hour away os I had the music loud in the car while I drove ALONE with No kids(which is a Huge Deal) to the stores. I proceeded to spend 3 hours and $500 today. Yep you read that correctly and a word of advice...If you have any thoughts of starting to scrapbook..DONT!! Take it from me it is a Veryyy expensive hobby! However I Love it and it is not often that I get to shop alone and spend money with no thought to anything. I had been saving for a few months and had a long list, most of which I bought!

I then came home..got it all organized and had a shake while I worked on a new layout.
I am in a much better mood than I have been the past few days. Who knew that all it takes is a few hours and a credit card. I am not sure that was the "Healthiest" way to handle it but it sure as shit made me feel better. Especially when I NEVER spend money on myself and every purchase was totally for ME! :D

Even though I had an offplan dinner I actually dont feel guilty about it as I normally do, I didnt go over board at all. I had a normal dinner at a little restaurant that did not include any Fast Food like I used to do in the past!

Thanks again for the happy thoughts ladies. And dont worry I would never think anyone here would "beat me up"over something ;)

Hurray for you!!!! I'm so glad that you found a good, healthy way to respond to your stress. Shopping is such a great therapy, and good for you for treating yourself. It feels so good to give yourself permission to do something good for yourself. And I don't think we do it nearly often enough. Especially if you have kids. Stick to it and you'll be so much stronger. You'll look back with pride on how you handled the situation and it'll be easier next time.

Thanks so much Nova. I do feel alot better mentally this evening :D and yes it is rare that I do something like this for myself as normally it is all @ the kids and such.

Oh I meant to mention earlier that I have family in Houston..or outside of Houston. One Cousin is in Woodlands(I guess she still lives there) and her Mom I think lives in Galveston Island now.

That's so awesome, and I'm so proud of you!!

I hear you on the shopping thing, though. I swear, I've traded one bad habit for another. Do they sell Shopperfast products?

Yeaaaaaaaaaa for you Reginia, I'm so glad to hear that today is a better day. What a smart woman, to go shopping as a coping mechanism... it truly does raise serotonin levels ;)

Hmmm...maybe momma needs to buy Eli a spy kit. One that includes face recognition software. Hmmm....

Ugh whe we get to real sizes I cant even imagine how broke we are going to be. I've already started because I decided that you cant really see how mcuh I've lost when I am wearing my bigger sized clothes. I tried on 4 pairs of jeans and 3 shirts today.

LOL Santa just might have to look for that for Christmas.

Oh heavens I know. However.. regular sizes are cheaper. I went by Target last night to pick up some long sleeve t-shirts cause Eli said my t's are too baggy LOL anywho.. I ventured into the REGULAR SIZES and got the XL there. Then took it to the Plus Size and compared. The PS XL was 2 sizes larger than the RS XL. Go figure.. but the RS one was $5 cheaper! So I bought 3 of them and they fit awesomely!

*not sure if all ^^^ makes sense :? *

Uhhhh, you must still be in a shopping-induced fog.
Silly girl! Robin meant Shopperfast for shopping
like Medifast for eating.
LOL, your hair color is sinking in!!
