Ark - Hang in there! The waiting is the hardest part. You did your best and you felt terrific about the interviews. Everyone is praying hard that you get the phone call you are waiting for.

As for the 10 pounds - don't sweat it! I went on a cruise in April, was gone 11 days and was not on program but watched what I ate - but definitely ate things that were not approved on the plan if you know what I mean. However, I knew when I got back, I'd be completely back on program. I gained 10 pounds in 11 days......... and lost all 10 of them in 4 days. Had to of been alot of water weight. I guess my point is, you are dedicated to the program, you had a break for a very important reason, and I know you'll be back in the saddle again. I really thing you will be amazed at how quickly it comes off.

OMG, will the phone ring please!!????????

Just wanted to update you guys on the job front. I did go to Akron on Friday for interview number 4 and 5. Am going back on Monday evening for interview number 6 so should be getting an offer very soon.

My recruiter for the Columbus gig called and said that they would not be making a decision until after the 4th (boo hoo). Looks like I just have to keep waiting. This is truly becoming unbearable :-(

I'm gonna have to agree with you here. I've been working on this for a couple of months and it has been difficult. Just more ...

UPDATE: Dream job not acquired.

Just received the phone call and Columbus is a no go. Completely not the end of the world but am a little down. Do have a for sure offer in Cleveland and now I'm just waiting on Akron to make up their mind.

Am completely back on-plan and 100% compliant. Wouldn't even consider going off b/c of some silly job but did just go and download a new Jazz CD for my iPod (Birth of the Cool ~ Miles Davis). Hoping to cheer myself up a bit.

You are going to do fine, maybe this is just not the road meant for you at this time. Akron is still a possibility and Colombus is a definite. Sorry to hear it, but maybe you are better off because of it. Glad to hear that you are 100% back on plan, too, that must feel good.

SuperMom ~ Thanks. I will try to keep my chin up. Actually, I think my DH is more upset than I am. He really wanted to get out of Cleveland.

Karli ~ It does feel good to be back on-plan. I genuinely believe that things work out the way they do for a reason, so I was not meant to be in Columbus.

What were they thinking? Silly Columbus people.

I know whichever position you choose you'll do a fantastic job. And, whichever organization is lucky enough to get you will bless the day they hired you.

Ark,
Remember, the right thing WILL happen; it always does. Just might not seem so right at the time it happens...
Hoist yourself up by the bra-straps, Sister, and carry on!

p.s. Thanks much for your support, I appreciate it! You are an inspiration!

Ark I was all ready to encourage you with these words:

I genuinely believe that things work out the way they do for a reason, so I was not meant to be in Columbus.

but you said them yourself and beat me to it!

I really admire your attitude and your ..."pluck". We will be watching to see where your path does lead you...thanks for allowing us this vantage point to share at least a bit of the journey with you.

Aw, sorry to hear about the job, Ark. But I'm with everyone else. It wasn't meant to be, and the job you DO take will turn out to be a much better choice for you.

Enjoy the CD!

Arkie - everyone said what I was going to say. I think you have a wonderful attitude and so many other possibilities. I agree that down the road you will see how this was a blessing and not a curse and that wherever you end up is where you were supposed to end up.

Congrats on getting right back on plan - I knew you would :)
