Important To Write Things Down!

Postby StrivingSister » March 1st, 2006, 8:51 pm

Boy, I get it now, how important it is to keep track of what you eat by actually writing it down!

Tonight, I honestly could not remember if I had all 5 supplements (in addition to my L&G), because I'm not hungry (today-yay!). So, I do not want to mess up by shortchanging my body OR by giving it unnecessary calories/protein/vitamins. Both could potentially throw my program off balance!

I almost looked thru today's trash bag to find the empty supplement packages! LOL.

I figured it out though. But, in any case - KEEP CAREFUL TRACK!!!

I'm with Vicky...the only way I can keep track is to pull out 4 packets and one bar first thing each morning (that way, I don't have to worry about taste buds changing overnight). And, of course, I put them in a .... you guessed it....Ziploc! Man, I love those things!

I use Fitday exclusively for the journal. This way I know what I eat and what time I eat and it also helps me see how much water I am getting in everyday.

I am a list addict. I am one of those people who make list's for just about everything. That is not to say I am an organized person...that's the whole thing, I am NOT an organized person so I NEED list's to keep me focused. If I don't write it down I won't remember it..until 3 am coming out of a dead sleep. lol

When I started MF I bought a little notebook and I write down everything that goes into my mouth daily...It helps me to keep track of water/fluid intake. I can also rate my lean and green meals so I know which ones I really love and which ones I should steer clear of unless I am just famished.lol Also....helps me to keep track of how long it's been since my last medi-meal and if I have had my snack..

Also, very handy for keeping swap shop addresses in.lol

Let's get ready to...Shake!!!!
Hugs,
Gina

SS,

You are so right on! Keeping track is the only way to do it for me! LOVENELVIS has the neatest tracker system and she so graciously sent it to me and others who PMed her for it. :puter:

Studies show that those who write down what they eat lose weight faster and keep it off longer...how could it not with the records staring you in the face each morning. My notebook stays right on the kitchen cabinet keeping watch over me. At night, I study it and plan for the next day.

No questions :?: :?: about my 5-6 replacement meals, L&G's,water, pounds lost, exercise or lack thereof, anything important! Because it is the most important priority we have right now---getting to a healthy weight, not to mentioned beautiful body! Leopard Woman, move over!

Not to bore you, wonderful MF friends of mine, :3head: but I really mean business this time around!

It's so easy to lose track. I'm going to put a little notebook on my fridge so I can keep track.

I'm the exact opposite. One of the things I love best about this program is NOT having to write everything down. If I forget how many meals I've had, I just count back the hours from the time I got up.

Oh Robin! You're good, I just wonder if I ate when I was supposed to. I have a bad habit of forgetting to eat & then binging at night. I'm impressed.

Even now, after all this time, I never forget to eat. I may forget and eat half an hour or an hour late, but that's as far as I ever get. I have a pretty set routine, though, which helps.
