There will always be people who seemingly sabotage your efforts to lose or to maintain your weight. If there are NO people that offer you food, then there will be print ads or television commercials or even ads at the movie theater luring you to buy popcorn, candy & hot dogs and to scarf to your heart's content.

A trip to the mall will take Herculean efforts to resist the enticing smells of Cinnabon or the Cheesecake Factory's latest offing and a mad dash through the airport will find you bombarded by pictures of french fries n' burgers or glasses of beer and quesadillas the size of a man. No one is safe. Ever.

Anna, it is a choice. Every day, every moment, you choose what you want to do. Your husband may have brought home the cookies but it is unlikely that he forced open your mouth and caused you to chew, swallow and digest them.

Little Darlin' ~ the following is truthful and it is blunt:

If you are an adult with normal capabilities, you ate those cookies because you wanted to eat them.

Children eat because they are hungry or because they are given certain foods to eat. Infants have no choice about what they eat. Young children for the most part also have no choice, they are at the mercy of their parents or caregivers. Adults choose and eat what they want, in the quantities that they want. People eat stuff because they want to. Everyone has the same amount of willpower and the same amount of won't power. Some exercise it; some do not. Choose wisely.

If you have the will power to get up and brush your teeth every morning; you have will power. If you can get to work on time most days; you have will power. If you can not harm people on the freeway during your commute; you have will power. If you can keep from ripping off the pencils, pens and laptops at your workplace; you have will power. If you can refrain from robbing the nearest S & L; you have will power. You have will power and you can refrain from succumbing to your husband's insidious sabotaging cookies!
