I' hungary

Postby sheri_baby » February 9th, 2006, 4:27 pm

I have been on this diet since Jan 21. I have been doing fine up till now. The last 2 days I have been hungry. I make sure I eat every 2-3 hours and it helps but I have been having cravings. Do they go away? What have you done to curb them? I have tried the appetite suppressent but it doesn't go much.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Sheri! I have found that I go through times where I feel hunger too for a few days. It's not the "head hungries". It's real hunger. I don't know why but I just kind of muscle through and it's only a few days for me. One thing I did notice though is when I was feeling the hunger, within a few days after I had a good drop on the scale. Not sure what this means really  It hasn't happened that often so hopefully it won't for you either. Maybe it has something to do with our bodies re-adjusting to the weight loss?

Sorry I couldn't be of more help but just wanted you to know you're not alone!

Good luck!

Sheri

I don't know if you already do but if not try buying some sugar free jello in the little cups already made and maybe some pickles or celery if you like them and that way you have something to munch on when those cravings hit. I think with me personally it is the opposite of ljm and is 100% head hunger so I just pop some jello or a pickle and I am good to go!

Personally, I was hungry the first couple of weeks when I was drinking the minimum amount of water, and I would have a snack everyday. After that I upped my water and now I rarely get hungry and need a snack.

Hungry

Postby Jan » February 9th, 2006, 10:18 pm

Sometimes our bodies don't know the difference between hunger and thirst. So, if you feel hungry try a glass of water. It can do the trick and stave off the hunger.

I still get hungry sometimes, after seven months. I usually have some extra water, maybe some jell-o or a pickle. If that doesn't work, I just go ahead and have an extra shake.

Great answers on suggesting upping your water intake. I read in a medical journal once where it said that 90% of all hunger pangs were actually thirst. We just don't give our bodies enough water.
