I bet you all were wondering if I made my goal yesterday. No I didn't, but I'm okay with it. I will be posting pictures soon to show you what I look like at 40!!

The main thing right now is that I feel great. Maybe when you see my pics you can help me determine if I need to go any further. I did manage to break the loooooongest plateau every and get to 129!! Yay! I did fluctuate my weight from 132 up to 6 pounds heavier to 138 and back down to 132 within those long months, but never changed my ticker 'cause I new I would get back down. I am happy that finally I broke through that 132 wall. So even though it's not 120, I still feel like I accomplished something.

Thank you all for the Birthday wishes yesterday. You really made my day!

Thank you Jody! I am finding that out. Thanks to MF I feel and look better at 40 than I did at 30!

I want to get my pictures up this weekend. I'll be working on it and sending it to Unca this evening.

Thank you Sue! I can see that you have alot to be proud of too! Keep up the great work. One of the best NSV's you will have, if you haven't already, is when your pants start falling off, and you can't help but have to buy another one, in a smaller size!

Still need to get my pics to Unca today. I'll be working on that this afternoon.

Unca Tim posted my updated pics on the studio forum. It was taken on my 40th birthday. I am so thankful for MF. Without it, I would've spent my 40 being fat and miserable like my 39, 38th, 37th.... get the picture.

I feel like I'm starting the "second half" of my life on the right track. My ultimate goal is to grow old gracefully, healthy, vibrant, active, with all my wits about me, and especially indepentently. I don't want to be a burden on my children for them to have to take care of me or have them shell out big bucks for a caretaker when I'm 70. I intend to live life to the fullest through my 80's and maybe 90's, who knows!!

Kanani,

I felt the same way when I hit 50. I feel like I'm ready to do the second half of my life in style. Guess I'm gonna live to be 100!

Thought I'd write something in my journal, since it's been a few days.

I've been struggling with the situation with my mother. (She has short term memory loss due to a mini stroke over a year ago). I realize that when I get worked up about her behavior, I trigger my emotional eating buttons. The past 2 days I've really tried to be more patient and less angry. After all, there is nothing I can do to change it. The hard part is that her condition only intensifies our struggling relationship. She now uses her memory loss as an excuse. Other than her memory, she is a fully functional and able adult.

This morning I took a little time to pray for patience and understanding and charity for her. I am hoping that this will keep me even keeled and able to stay focused on staying 100% compliant today.

Thank you Biki! Your prayers and thoughts were felt throughout the day. :rose:

I actually had a decent day, yesterday, and I'm sure if I continue to keep my spirits up, it will continue today.

My goal was to stay compliant, and be very aware of my emotional triggers. It really helps when I can stay calm and rational when my natural instinct would be to get upset. I actually found myelf literally stopping and taking a few long breathes. It helped tremendously!
