Kanani,

I'm just wondering if you live any where near any of our stops. We'll be cruising the islands the last 2 weeks in September...... Where are you in relation to the ports? I admit I know almost nothing about the geography of Hawaii.

Yes! I do. I've been dancing hula since I could walk. I recently retired from performing and teaching. Now I do workshops and performances for family and friends now and then.

You must come and visit me! I would love to give you the full Hawaii experience! :ukulele:

Hey Jo! I live on Oahu. The main port at the Aloha Tower where all of the cruise ships dock is 15 minutes from where I live. Please let me know what your itinerary (sp?) is. I would love to see you! I will be traveling to the Big Island for my MIL's 80th birthday around that time, but if I'm here, I'll come and meet you at the port! :D

 I hope today is better for you. Find the good in your day. It's there somewhere, you just need to look harder sometimes to find it.

Thank you for the hugs Jo! I will keep looking. I'm sure the good stuff is right here in front of me, I just need to open my eyes a little wider!

Hubby and I went for a late night walk, up and down our hills where we live. It was lightly raining and it felt great. Amidst the walking we got in some great conversation and some great solutions for the goings on in our home. Gee, a listening ear and some non judgemental advice sure did me a lot of good. I feel so much better. It should be a great day. :D

Thank you Tawanda!

It's amazing how powerful the mind can be. My hubby reminded me of this last night on our late night walk. I can see just in my own thoughts and attitude, how my reality is truly determined by my thoughts. If I have a crappy negative attitude and feel that my life is full of problems and struggle....that 's how my life turns out. Thank God that it works the other way too. Sooo, today my day will be a great one, and it is filled with good things. Today I feel thin and beautiful and I am staying on plan. :D

I stayed up late last night reading this journal from the beginning. Wow. All of those moments of this weighloss journey came rushing back to me. It gave me a sense of accomplishment to be able to keep going even through the tough times. And all of the people here on the forum who encouraged me along the way. It is very inspiring. I need to re-read this more often.
