How to make a pot of soup?

Postby ascicles » April 4th, 2006, 11:46 am

So, I have been thinking that I would like to make a pot of soup for dinner one night, but I'm trying to think of the best way to do it.

Ideally, I would like to use chicken and mushrooms as the ingredients, and that's pretty much it. Could I use bouillon as the soup base? I think it would probably require two cups or so...so I wonder if this would be legal (assuming I don't have a bouillon snack during the day).

If so, does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to make this?

I think this would be legal. Whenever I made soup in my pre-MF days, I would always start out by sauteing some onions, garlic, and celery in 1-2 tsp of canola oil. Then I would add the chicken broth and other misc. ingredients and let them simmer for like an hour.

Best of luck!

Well, I'm not sure if it was 100% legal, but I made this tonight and it was wonderful. Probably my favorite lean and green I've made made.
