How Long in "fat loss" mode?

Postby mellowmom » July 10th, 2006, 12:20 pm

I was going over some documents that Nancy kindly forwarded to me to take to my next doctor's appointment when I came across the following sentence in two of the four documents...

"The program consists of a combination of clinically proven meal replacement suppplements and real foods designed to put the body into a fat-burning state for up to 16 weeks."

My question is what happens after the 16th week? Am I burning off something else, or is the 16 weeks just an average of weeks the majority of folks are on the program? (Those who don't have mega tonnage to dispose of).

If anyone could shed a light on the highlighted statement, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Carmel

On the 113th day you explode!
:dohdoh:

Actually, I'm not sure either. We'll have to look into it.
No doubt it's some kind of disclaimer thingy.

Is that the one where the guy eats a ton of food then barfs it up? I haven't seen that since I was a kid! Funny!

Actually, as I recall, he literally explodes after partaking of a "wafer-thin" ???? (I'm sure there is a Python fan out there who remembers what it was that put the gentleman "over the top") Hmmmm maybe it should be required viewing as a warning to all us overeaters. Kind of a "Clockwork Orange" scenario forced to watch the scene over and over and ...urp..
Sorry..gotta go

He sleeps all night and he works all day

Hi Kids and Inquiring Minds ~

Nuthin' weird-o-lah happens to ya at the end of week number 16...just some of the materials Medifast initially printed for physicians was based on a 16 week program. Many people have been on the weight loss phase for months and months…I know people that have lost over 275 pounds and have been on the weight loss phase for 18 months or longer. Some of the printed material needs revamping…no worries!

Just because I feel like mentioning it, I get inquiries all the time from people that want to know if I STILL eat that “Medifast stuff.”

It always cracks me up – it makes me want to ask them if they STILL eat that pizza and taco stuff!

I wonder if they still eat that tater chip stuff, that spaghetti stuff!

I wonder if they ever get tired of eating oranges and strawberries, etc.

Yup, I STILL eat my Peach or French Vanilla Berry Oatmeal Stuff and I still slurp my Chocolate Medifast Plus for Women’s Health Stuff, too!

Why?

Because I like how I feel when I eat it.

I like how I look when I eat it.

I figure I’ve had a minimum of 1400 servings of Medifast oatmeal and I still like it. It likes me, too.

Yep, yep, yep…you may safely slurp the meal replacement supplements for more than 16 weeks and you will continue to be in the fat-blazing state (which is so much better than being in a catatonic state!), Carmel.

Looky at you!

66 pounds of flabber melted off already! Yeah!
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...

He eats a wafer thin mint! I cannot remember his name, Mr. someting, BUT you can actually buy a doll modeled after him that barfs when you squeeze him. If you google Monty Python toys or figurines I'm sure you will find him. I actually have a Monty Python Trebuche (sp). It's the cow catapult from Holy Grail. It comes with cows, sheep and poultry that you can cattapoult at your unsuspecting office mates. They have all kinds of Monty Python toys out there. I bought mine in NYC when I went to see SPam-A-Lot last thanksgiving. Run Away, run away......................
