how late can I eat?

how late can I eat?

I work until 10pm and am sometimes hungry when I get out. Is it ok to have a shake or is it too late?

Eat as late as you want/need to. This isn't like other plans, where you want to avoid eating close to bedtime. It's actually BETTER to keep your blood sugar more steady. If you stop eating at say, 8 p.m., and don't eat again till 8 the next morning, you've gone 12 hours with no fuel. When you're consuming so little on a daily basis, it's better to space your meals out through your whole day, from when you get up to when you go to bed. I usually eat my last meal around 1 or 1:30 and go to bed around 2:30.

Hi,

Yes, you definitely can have a shake late. The only thing they don't suggest is having your BAR late...I work late also and sometimes add an extra MF meal if I'm working 20-22hr days, yes it happens!

This isn't like other "diets" where you can't eat after 7 or 8pm or whatever. Just eat every 3 or so hours while awake and withing 1 hour of waking and you'll be FINE!

Seems like since Little league started no one in the house eats before 8:30

All other diets would spank you for that behavior.

Thanks so much for posting this. I have been wondering the same thing. With my crazy schedule sometimes I don't start my meals till 12:30pm or so, and I was having a hard time squeezing them all in. Sometimes I just can't get to eat at that 2hr mark and like to space them out more anyway. One night I was eating my last meal at like 1:30 or 2:00 am. Glad to hear I am not the only one!

You know, I was wondering the same thing but I'll tell you what I've discovered. I was worried because I started eating my L&G at 9:00pm which is late, but the only time I have peace in a house with 3kids. I want to TASTE my food and not just shove it down. Anyway, I have found that I actually seem to lose FASTER now that I'm eating late. So I think it's OK.. At least it is for me!
