How can I get an early start?

Postby onehotmommy » January 12th, 2006, 12:18 pm

Ok, I am not patient by nature, :x but I know my MF stuff is very likely a week away since I ordered yesterday :( I am sooooooooo sooooooooo ready to get rolling. Is there anything I can do now that will give me a bit of a jump start? I already started eating soup instead of a meal to get my tummy used to having less in it ;) I know the MF plan is what will take the weight off, but what if I did the *nameless* RTD shakes that I can run up the road and buy until my grub gets here? Just curious if doing those for a few days along with cutting calories down close to MF level will give me a jump start on getting into ketosis? I did a high protein diet a few months ago and had the first 2 days of feeling like I was starving and had a horrible headache, then day 3 was a bit better, then my energy kicked in. Oh that energy, it is GREAT! I remember how awesome I felt and I can't wait to be there again! Normally, I have NO energy. That is my big problem now and I can't imagine going another week and a half feeling this way. I need a boost! I could just sleep all day long if I didn't have the kids to take care of. I'm going to try getting in bed a couple of hours earlier tonight and see how I feel in the morning. Any advice on getting started before my MF stuff arrives appreciated!

:D

Hi onehotmommy! I'm in the same boat as you! I ordered yesterday...am a SAHM and have been cutting back. I have been drinking 1-2 RTD shakes to get my stomach ready for the immense decrease in food....it is VERY difficult to wait!!!! :felix:

We're gonna do this and be SO much happier for it!!!! :cleader:

I'm not sure how you placed your order, but my orders never take more than 2 days to get to me, and that's all the way at the end of the road in the Keys......my order shipped yesterday and I'm expecting it tomorrow. So maybe it'll be here sooner than you think.

I personally wouldn't restrict myself to any other liquid diet but Medifast. I have faith in Johns Hopkins hospital and that's one of the major reasons I gave MF a whirl. I'm not certain that the other products have the proper mix of nutrients.....

At least you're eager to start though. My first time around I used the shipping time to binge crazily.....pretty dumb!

Just to give you an idea of time....I ordered on January 6th, and my package arrived this afternoon to where I live in NY. :D I am still waiting another couple of days to start (lots of temptations coming up over the next couple of days- yikes! doesn't seem smart to start), but I have been passing the time by reading the forum. 6 days seem to last a lifetime and fly by in an instant all at the same time....keep yourself busy and it will go quicker for sure.

Well, I wasn't thinking very clearly!

I CAN go ahead and start with my lean and green and simply watch everything else closely! I don't know why it took me all day to think of that but it did! I stocked up on chicken and broccoli tonight, so I am ready to roll come 6 o'clock tomorrow evening!!!!! I can push my water too. I am just SOOO ready to get going, I can hardly wait!

:D
