Hi SoJo - thanks for stopping by. I am hoping to make the 20# club in the next few days. I have some major stress going on right now and I have the homeowner blues. Because of a broken sewer pipe I have spent two nearly sleepless nights and I am sure all that is affecting my weightloss. I am looking forward to getting everything fixed today and sleeping in tomorrow. :D Then maybe I will get some scale-love soon afterwards!

Getting some sleep will definitely help. Before they found some meds that worked for me I was up all night or waking up at 2:30 and my weight was fluctuating all over the place. Hope you get into the club soon!

Thanks Biki and Hol for the support. Sewer pipe is fixed and wasn't as bad as expected however there is a dead animal somewhere under my house (it was the combo of smells that alerted me to problems) and we can't find it! I am miserable! I had to put off a network installation scheduled for today and my boss was not happy but I have to get my home straightened out. Right now I do not feel secure, safe and happy here. My neighbor has been a tremendous help but there is so much insulation underneath and he hasn't been able to pinpoint anything but the general location. It is the most horrible thing under there. Needless to say I don't have much of an appetite. I was outside with the work crew for hours this morning and was an hour late on my mid-morning supplement. I had it at 10:30 and now I am already hungry again but don't feel like eating.

My neighbor went home for lunch and I guess I better get something now too.

Later,
Linda

Just stopping by to say HI and see how you are doing!

The dead animal thing sounds like a real drag. One time we had a dead cat under our house. We could see it but no one wanted to go under and get it. My brother lost "paper scissors rock" and had to go!
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

Grrr... I did a very long post this morning before work and forgot to copy it before submitting and then it got poofed! It seems everytime I get into the emotional aspects of following MF this happens to me. Then for a while I copy all my posts to the clipboard before submitting but nothing gets poofed so I get lax until I get poofed again. :(

Anyway, the dead possum under my home was the worst experience I have been through for years. It is not over as I am still dealing with getting the stench out of my home - carpets, drapes, clothes, down comforters, quilts, etc. It is going to take me a long time to do everything. I got a lot done Sunday but still have a lot facing me.

I broke my compliance record over this disaster too. Friday I had only 4 supplements and only 48 oz of water plus some diet sodas. Saturday I was collapsing and needed to eat badly and ended up with 4 supplements and 2 lean and green meals plus only 48 oz water and some diet sodas. I was back on plan by Sunday. My appetite is starting to come back slowly.

I slept at home last night for the first time in days and while it wasn't perfect it was much better. I hope this will soon be all behind me.

Oh how awful! I am glad the dead opposum is now gone and that you'll be able to rid your home of the fragrant memory of the rodent's demise. You poor thing.....what a time you've been through!!

Yes! I have! Can I come stay with you? LOL. You do such a good job of taking care of everyone.

Seriously, I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have one of my daughters here that I could stay with at night. I guess I would have paid for a hotel because I certainly couldn't stay at home. I think I just had a tiny dose of what the poor Katrina victims went through and some are still going through. It is horrible to have your home (which for me is my peace and security, safe haven) ruined and uninhabitable! Whine, whine, whine!

You're allowed to whine when it's something so awful. I checked into a hotel in Houston once on business in the summertime and a guy kicked the bucket in one of the rooms and NOTHING could get rid of the smell. They sprayed this terrible air freshener that just mixed with it for a melange of florals and corpse.

Today is Day 48 and I am down 20.2 pounds!!! In addition to the 20# club I also hit another milestone - I am no longer obese, just overweight!

This morning's scale-love has definitely improved my outlook. The temps went down overnight too and we are expecting a few days of very pleasant weather so I can open my windows and air things out more.

All fantastic news. I remember going from morbidly obese to just obese and it being a milestone! I am so glad you have perked up and the weather has decided to fall into place to help you out. 20.2 pounds is just sensational. I have decided that today is HOPEBABY DAY. You deserve it!

Thanks Biki! I also just remembered that I am now down to smoking weight, LOL. This 20 pounds was added after I quit. Next I attack the menopause weight!

You know a while back I was having a very discouraging day because the scales weren't giving me any love (this was before I figured out my scales like to give me love on Tuesday/Wednesday) and I said "I might as well be doing Atkins! It was cheaper and I lost weight quicker!" However, I looked back at my journal and did a comparison and I am actually losing weight faster with MF. I lost 26 pounds in 3 months with Atkins but then I went off it and regained it all. I was thinner to begin with when I started Atkins so a 26 pound loss made me look pretty good. That is what I was remembering, not the facts.
