The 2nd week is a little earlier on the stall than most people, but our bodies do their own thing. I had a stall at 3 weeks, so I know how it feels, but you didn't do anything wrong. One day soon you will wake up to find weight is coming off again. Your body is just re-grouping a bit. Be patient, stick with the program and don't spend too much energy trying to second guess it.

Think happy thoughts and give yourself a well deserved hug for being on this program and taking steps to better health and a sexier new you!

Sigh... another day with no weight loss. This is no fun. It has been a week since I have lost anything so I am calling this a stall. I just don't understand how being compliant every frickin' day I could NOT lose weight! I see other people on here posting that they went off plan but they still post a loss for the week and they have been on MF long enough that it isn't water weight. How could I not lose weight? I am beginning to be very discouraged and thinking it is the sugar. I guess I should have gotten the diabetic food.

I have read a lot of journals but I didn't read about anyone stalling this much so soon. I just want to cry.

I don't know why you are stalling but have definitely gone through it myself. It just takes a lot of patience. Can you perhaps put up a daily plan of what and when you are eating so maybe we can spot something that would help you? And no matter how long you have been on Medifast if you go off plan and eat carbs , you will retain water weight.

Biki - Here is the nutritional info from yesterday. I had steak and brocolli for my L&G since I ate out. I normally have chicken and lettuce salad. But other than that it is pretty standard for me.

Actual Actual

Calories 831
Calories from Fat 130.5
Total Fat 14.5 g
Saturated Fat 0 g
Cholesterol 0 mg
Sodium 1184 mg
Total Carbohydrate 79 g

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dietary Fiber 23 g
Sugars 37 g
Protein 114 g
Vitamin A 8650 IU
Vitamin C 206 mg
Calcium 1560 mg
Iron 28 mg

I ate:
6:00 vanilla shake (all my shakes are the 70's for more protein)
9:00 chocolate shake
12:00 apple cinnamon oatmeal
3:00 chocolate shake
5:30 L&G
8:30 banana pudding

I had one more shake than usual yesterday hoping that more shakes would help. I usually have cappuccino for my afternoon supplement. I also usually have one of the soups (chicken with rice or chicken noodle) for lunch.

Any ideas are appreciated. Oh and I got the higher protein shakes because even though I have lots of fat I also have lots of muscle that I don't want to lose.

PMS or any hormonal issues don't come into play with me. I had very early menopause and have been finished with all that for 8 years now.

In the literature, it suggests that those experiencing a stall make sure they are below the 80-85 range in carbs. Looks like you are doing that most of the time except perhaps when you added the extra supplement. How much water are you drinking?

Plateaus just happen. To some more than others. I had countless plateaus during my weight loss. I just learned to accept them and be patient. The weight came off because I stuck to the plan, not because I lost weight every week.

I agree Jo, but sometimes there are reasons that we are not losing weight that we are not aware of that can be helped. As you know, I have had a few stalls myself. I read the literature to make sure I was doing all I could. But patience worked every time.

I didn't add a supplement. I just changed the afternoon supplement from cappuccino to a shake. I drink 96 ounces of water everyday. Following the general rule, 85.5 would be 1/2 my weight but I drink more than that. I also forgot to mention I cut out Crystal Light the past few days too thinking that might help.

Sorry I misunderstood about the supplements. At this point I have to offer you what I offer myself, since I have basically had a TWO week stall these past weeks-just like Joleen said-patience. Medifast works. It just does. Sometimes it just takes time.

Don't give up---I've gone through quite a number of stalls during my time here and during the time that I was completely on program......longest one was about 13 days I think. I believe the 'stall record; that's been shared is 15 days (Jo? is that right? It was you and 15 days?). Once I had a loss I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to blast her stall length record out of the water. :D This, of course, was not my feeling nor mindset on my first few stalls..........just on the longest one where I had finally accepted that they happen and if I stay compliant they do end......

Don't give up!

Hang in there! Try cutting your carbs a little more for a couple days. Eggs and broc soup only have 10 carbs. But most likely, it is just an evil stall  and there isn't much to be done except wait it out!

I've blocked it out, but I think that's accurate.
