HB I am sorry for the Hijack

Lauren wrote:Oh, and I wanted to make a quick note to Katie on her post above - it doesn't (or shouldn't) matter if you have something coming up, be it a holiday, work event, family occasion, whatever, in the role that MF plays in your life. You can and should still attend and enjoy any event or non-event that comes your way - it has nothing to do with food. I know you're all snickering at me, but I am serious. The joy in events is NOT the food, it's the people, the celebration, the family, friends, whatever. So that should not factor into anybody's success story.

I wanted to let everyone know that I agree with what Lauren wrote, That it does not matter what is coming up. But for the people that do know me, know that I am in the Restaurant business, and that I do sell High end quality food, and that I do have to try this product, and that I do need to go out to these restaurants and eat, and make the chef feel like he is god in the kitchen. Do I want to go off program absolutely not. But if I want to keep my job (which I absolutely love) I need to do things that I am not happy about. With the way the economy is going, I need to show my face in my restaurants as much as possible. Other Vendors have the same product that I do.

When I meant I do not have anything coming up, is meaning no events and no dinners until May.

For new people that read this, I am sorry if you took that phrase the wrong way.

Good Morning Everyone Everywhere :D

Ohh Boy, another sunny day, Im jazzed!

Katie, cant imagine how tough your job can be, if you are not in the MF zone and are struggling. Lauren is absolutely correct! But the mind is a damn tricky organ, (it is an organ right??).
Today, Im in my no option zone, I was there for over 8 months last year. Wonderful feeling, wonderful way to live life. But, for me, this buzz, high, whatever, can easily slip away and is ever so difficult to get back.

Hey, Holberry!

First, Katie, if you're reading this, I am sorry, I totally forgot what you do for a living, and I do completely understand how events can affect your eating, thanks for clarifying for all the other folks here!

Hol, just wanted to check in to make sure you're still smooth sailing and feeling good. Everything in check? Hope so!

Cheers,

Lauren

You know what lauren some times I forget that not everyone knows me, and that I am a Chef and in sales. I would never want or encourage someone to go off program. It is so not worth it. I wish I did not have to go out to eat so much.
