Hitting the road

Postby Mike » June 15th, 2006, 9:07 pm

Well folks, I am off to the great central west. For the next 2 1/2 weeks or so I will be meandering around I-40, I-20 and I-10. My mom and I are going to visit family in Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. I have my medifast all packaged up into daily ziplocks and its all in a nice little box. I have some RTD's in the cooler. I am PREPARED.
So, I leave EARLY in the morning, and will not be on here for the duration of the trip. Good luck to all, and I will check in when I return.
Oh yeah, Di and Dayna, have a great time at the conference.... as well as all you other conference goers too. :byebye:

Bon Voyage, Dear Husband! God speed and journey's mercies!

And yes, Zinkette, he's NOTHING if not the ultimate Boy Scout! He's one of the most prepared people I know. I've learned a lot from him in that area!

The ziploc thing was something we saw my sister, Dayna, do back in April when she went to Disneyland (note the ears on her avatar). I don't think it originated with her, but that's where we first SAW it. Since then, that's how we travel, too!

Well, I made it to Yukon, Oklahoma. I shouted to Supermom when I got gas at a Chevron in Amarillo... did she hear me?
Anyways, I'm here at my brothers for a couple days and will head to southern Oklahoma on Wednesday.
Been doing okay on the program, the RTD's are great.

O-Klahoma, where the wind comes sweepin' down the plains ...

Love OK and hope you had a great time in Yukon, the home of Garth Brooks. I went to nursing school in Oklahoma City and really love the place. Can't wait to hear more of your travel stories.
