Keep on doing everything right. Geez, hon, you lost TEN POUNDS the first week -- you don't expect to do that EVERY week, do you? Your body needs a little time to adjust to that and to the fluid re-balance, and to figure out what exactly is going on. For most people around here it seems that it's Week 3 where there is little or no weight loss. For me it was weeks 4 and 5, where I had a one-half pound weight loss each of those weeks. For you, if you have been 100% compliant, it looks like it's Week 2. Trust the program.

You might want to post your schedule here so that we can look at it and make sure everything is going okay that way. What do you eat, and when? And are you getting at least 64 ounces of water? I recommend more, myself; I try for 90-100 a day.

Trust the program. It works if you follow it.

Its only my third day so I don't have any advice. But like you I'm losing quickly my first week. So I'll keep my eye on this subject for anybody's advice.

Good Luck!

I don't think you need to do full Medifast. I sure don't. Make sure you are weighing and measuring your lean and green meal, and then be patient. Like I said, you are going to have a week, either this week or next week, or in my case two weeks, where you have little or no weight loss. Still, if you went two weeks without a loss, you have ten pounds already, so over three weeks that would be an average of 3 1/3 pounds. Where else do you lose that much as an average?

Stay with the program, stay compliant, and stay off the scales except once a week until they start moving again, or you'll drive yourself crazy. And the scales WILL start moving again so long as you remain compliant. Be patient.

and try having the bar right before you will be most active. Having it before bedtime could be slowing your weight loss down. Try having the bar in the afternoon around 3 or midmorning.

I know TSFL with Medifast works, I lost 150 lbs. in 9 months!!!

Hi Lauradr, GREAT first Week !!!! :cleader: Don't worry it'll come off !! Maybe even tomarrow it'll happen. I read recently that eating your bar for your first or last meal will SLOW your weightloss. The higher carbs & sugar are to blame. Try changing the time of day for that bar and DRINK :water: lots of water!!!! Welcome...Sara

For me, it was all about the water loss the first week and then my body had to adjust for that water loss the second and third week. Don't be discouraged, I went through the same exact thing. Make sure you drink A TON OF WATER.

Lauradr ~

I wouldn’t call this a “stall” that you are experiencing here – your body is just adjusting to the program. Your schedule looks good - there is 4 hours between Medifast packet # 1 and #2. You may consider moving them a bit closer together. You do not need to switch to the complete meal replacement program.

Do not weigh daily - it makes you cwazy... :nana: and is counter-productive at this point. The daily and weekly weight loss rate during the first month on the program is very erratic for most people. Weight can fluctuate as much as 4 pounds during the course of a day and it changes from day to day, as well. People can be totally program-compliant and go up half a pound or more during the course of a week – the number on the scale is not a true reflection of your compliance the last few days. There are a lot of metabolic changes taking place right now. Give your body the time it needs to rebalance itself and do its thing.

As 24 K and others have indicated it is preferred to have the bar in the afternoon.

Our program is different from other programs and it takes fully three weeks for your body to make the adjustments to the fat-burning state and a weight pattern will eventually develop that is unique to you. You may drop larger amounts of weight every other week, a little bit every week, etc. Just follow the plan, be consistent, weigh your lean meat and measure the vegetable portion - don't eyeball it and have all packets on time with plenty of water in between packets - you'll do great. I believe in you, Lauradr!
