Another trick is everytime you feel starving and it isn't time for your next supplement drink 8oz of water. If you are still starving after that has time to settle in have one of the approved snacks, and more water.
Some days I am very hungry and I will make myself drink a liter of water before I give into a snack. It doesn't always work but will sometiems take enough of the edge off to get me to my next supplement.
Hot beverages also work well, a non-cafinated hot tea for instance.
