HELP, I RAN OUT OF FOOD!!

Postby monique62579 » August 6th, 2007, 11:47 pm

I ordered a 4 week order but realized my first week what I didn't like so I sent most of that back to exchange it for some I did. But now I am running low because my order hasn't come back yet. I am worried that i wil run completely out and will fall off of ketosis. What foods can I eat during the day that will get me through atleast 2 days until my order comes? I don't drink dairy products at all so I can't do milk and I eat mostly vegatarian products like soy meat and tofu. Please help, I am on such a roll with my weightloss and I don't want it to stop.

I'm not a proponent of them, but if you do shakes, look at the Edge shakes and see how they compare.
Also, the slim fast low carb ones might suffice, or maybe a latte with soymilk. Not sure.

Also, just try having very small L&G's 3 times a day.... perhaps 3 oz protein and 1/2 to 1 cup veggies. Like a tuna salad or something.

A friend of mine got in a similar bind. She was able to call one of the MF facilities nearby and they let her buy a box of shakes to tide her over.

Watch out with the soymilk. I have seen them use sweetened soymilk at Starbucks. Even vanilla once. (I got very nosey about what they do behind the bar at Starbucks when I was on WW) It doesn't really taste sweet just better than unsweetened. In fact, most soymilk is sweetened that is used in coffee bars. Go to a store and check out the soymilk and get some that says unsweetened if that is the route you are going to take..

Another suggestion (I AM NOT a Health Advisor) is to go on the Atkins induction diet (you can Google it) for 2 days. That is 20 grams of carbs a day. So primarily proteins.

One thing you can do BUT only for one day is have a small glass of nonfat or low fat (1or 2%) milk as your meals and have your L&G

Are you sure about that Biki?

Just giving you a rough time.

Great suggestion Larry, and we would have also, but Monique said she doesn't like to do dairy products.
Monique said: "I don't drink dairy products at all so I can't do milk...."

Thus, our difficulty in finding suggestions.... ;)

There is a tread where people sell products or look to swap products they no longer want. Why not check it out and see if you can buy quickly from someone. I like to keep extra supplies so if I don't plan properly I have product to tied me over.
