Hello everyone,
I've been reading and following this website for some time now, and finding great support, encouragement, and ideas. I started MF in June of 06, and knew almost immediately that it was the right plan for me. I'm a lifetime dieter, and have tried pretty much everything. This is the one plan that has truly worked for me.
I've lost 40 lbs so far. I was doing great on my own for a while (while reading these forums to glean knowledge and enthusiasm). Then around November I started the slow decline...first a bite or two here and there. Then a meal or two I shouldn't have. Then shakes in the morning, food at night, then a whole day off. Then the Holidays did me in, and the last 1-2 weeks were completely off plan. Know what? I felt horrible...gross, bloated, yucky.
That's when I knew I had to come back to the program, all the way. It is the right plan for me, its easy, it works, it fits so well into my lifestyle. Yesterday was my Day 1, and was great! Feel a little ucky today, but its cool to know that by the end of the week I will feel fantastic, full of energy and willpower. I've also decided to use the Journal forum here on the site, as I need more accountability to myself.
There are so many amazing people on this forum...in the past months I've been very touched by the support, the caring, and the insight from all of you. Oh, and tremendously inspired by the success stories! I look forward to continuing this journey with you all.
