Hello-First shakin week and lovin it

Postby izabelle » August 30th, 2004, 2:03 pm

Hello all, just thought I should quit lurking and introduce myself. Am 33 yrs old 5'7 tall, married, 2 daughters and live in NW. I have been shaking on the 5/1 plan for one week today and am down 4lbs so far 218 to 214! Yippee!!! After an uneventful year on Atins (20 lbs down-then 20lbs back on) I realized I needed to do something different. Spent the summer waitressing and walking at least 5 miles a day doing that with no weight loss or inches. Didn't even eat that much, just poor eating habits (one big fat greasy meal per day, sometimes 2).
Sooo, I am now down to my last option and can only say that I wish I would have tried this sooner.
Before this becomes a novel of introduction I will sign out, but not before saying that you are all very inspiring and I am happy to have found this forum!

Hello and welcome Izabelle!

Yeah, well we ALL wished we had been hit by the Medifast Fairy many years and many pounds ago but the cool thing is this: You've discovered Medifast and discovered how wonderful it is!

We hope that you will continue to seek inspiration and information right here at the MakeMeThinner.com Forum - great losers and great people, sharing their experiences with others. This is your last weight loss plan, eh?

Wowser - all ready down 4 fat greasy yucky pounds! Yeah! :toast:

Welcome, izabelle! We're all here fighting the good fight and some of this good karma is sure to rub off on you - and vice versa. I know it seems like you didn't find this soon enough, but you DID find it and you're still a spring chicken at 33. Plenty of good years to enjoy ways other than wishing something were different in the weight department. I look forward to seeing your success. :D

Welcome Izabella!

Isn't is so frustrating to be successful on a diet working so hard to get it off, and then it just pops right back on as if with the snap of the fingers the minute you go off it! I know this MF diet will take it off better than any other diet I've tried. I'm thinking it's just as effective as to maintaining the loss too, and look forward to that phase. Sounds like you've got what it takes to succeed with this! Great having you aboard!

A MF Pal,
Camille

Gawly gee whiz! Thanks to all who responded with welcomes and encouragement.
So far, so good since last post. Haven't seen any scales moving last few days but the "monthly fairy" could have something to do with that and I am wondering if I lost more than 4 lbs now. I usually have a 5lb gain once a month (that icky bloaty thing  ). Oh well, time will tell and should know more by next official weigh in on Monday.

Anywho! Thanks again for the warmth!

Good Job

Postby vegas star » September 2nd, 2004, 1:35 pm

Hi Izabelle, Great Job, I have only been on MF for 4 wks and so far I have gone from 244 lbs to 225 lbs. At the tender age of 55 I never thought it would happen. The folks on here are great and the support really helps. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Isn't it refreshing to find something that works so well for men and women, young people and 'experienced' people equally as well?

I  this stuff!
