Hi Donna! My son is 17, he is a High School Senior this year and my daughter is 14. Yes it is a real experience to have children this age. They have so many activities that we run to all the time, that is our "social life". I don't have a clue what we will do all the time after they move out. I am also an animal lover and we have 6 dogs, two in the house. They are a lot of company for me when everyone else is at work or school.

Hey Jennifer! You are right up my alley with those 6 dogs! I have 3, all of which are in the house! In fact they are all playing at my feet right at the moment! My kids are 12 and 9 so not quite to that teenage business yet! I will be looking for an online support forum for that in a few years ;)

Welcome aboard and good luck! Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Okay Donna & Jennifer...and anyone else that cares....We just got the CUTEST LITTLE PUMPKIN PIE PUPPY....For Christmas we bought our 17 yr old a car....and our 14 1/2 yr old got her dream as well....a puppy....yorkshire terrier..he is now 5 months and up to 3 1/2 lbs....I never thought I would become so attached to him...all I want to do is kiss him...kiss him...and kiss him....I used to do that with the kids..now they're older and although they're still kissy I don't think they want to sit on my lap so maybe the dog is filling that void?...If I can I'll send a picture

Donna - how exciting to get a puppy! Is this your first??? We had a golden retrv as our first dog before we had children! We lost him in June to cancer. We also have an old english sheepdog (Edgar 8 yrs), a shi-tzu (Mattie 4 yrs) and now an adorable soft coated wheaton terrier (Bailey 8 months)! Mattie is my princess dog who sits on my lap constantly and gets lots of kisses. She is a whopping 12 lbs! Bailey is about 30 lbs and loves to cuddle! Every morning at about 5 am she gets up on the bed and cuddles away. I cannot imagine my life without my dogs. They make me so happy and I love having multiple dogs as they have the best pack behaviors!

Anyway...I could talk dogs all day! Congrats on the puppy! You'll really love having him!

Donna....I'm so sorry you lost your golden...they are beautiful...The only time I would see my Dad cry is when we lost a dog...I love your dogs names and Bailey and Mattie were both choices of ours...Mattie is our daughters boyfriend's name so that was out...Bailey I loved but seeing it was Kelley's present it was only fair to let her name him..so it was between Bently and Tucker and Tucker won. I had many dogs growing up but not since then except for one Christmas the girls were 5 & 7 we got a black lab 8 wks old. Unfortunatly we only had him for 4 months. I think I told you Rob had a Heart Transplant 7 yrs ago and pior to that was sick for 6 yrs. It seemed as soon as we got the dog he was in the hospital constantly for a week or two at a time and no one was home for the puppy. Someone I worked with wanted him so bad so we let her take him as unfortunatly the timing wasn't right for us. Now the girls are older and although Rob still has many challenges his hospital stays are more managable...and Tucker is so small I can take him almost anywhere. I'll try to send you pics and I'd love to see yours as well....Have a great day

Donna - it was very sad to lose Otis (our golden) but we knew he had a fantastic life and lived 12 wonderful years. He was a joy for us all.

Anyway, I cannot attach pictures on a private msg here and can't find your e-mail address. So send me a picture of tucker and I'll reply w/ pics of my hoard. Tucker is a great name! My friend has a dashound (sp?) named Tucker! We love him!

Have a great Sun. Congrats on the weight loss!
