Hello All!

Postby JohnBoy » November 7th, 2006, 10:08 pm

Figure I would go ahead and make an account to introduce myself. I am a 22 year old Texan boy...born and raised. I am finishing up my bachelor's degree in nursing and will be graduating in May. I started Medifast about a month ago but only stuck with it for about a week and a half because my clinicals began to interfere. I lost 20lbs during that week and a half but unfortunatley while I am at clinicals I can't run off and drink a shake or anything every 2-3 hours so I went off of it for a couple of weeks. I gained 5 lbs back during my time off and am starting it back this week. I am going skiing for the first time in January and I need to lose some weight before the trip so I am using that as my motivation right now.

Weight BF MediFast: 345
Weight Nov 4th: 331

welcome Johnboy..this is the place to be. We all have to account for our actions and there is no place else you would rather be to account for our ups and downs or successes than here.

Take small steps to get to reach your goal or on the the way to your goal. Don't know knock yourself on the head when you do have a slipup...Just get back on the wagon..

Great job so far...

Welcome JohnBoy!

I'm wondering if you have tried the Ready-to-Drink shakes. They are great for quickie meals - just pop in the supplied straw and start sipping away. I am in meetings alot during the day and sometimes don't have time to stop and prepare a shake or whatever before my next meeting - these have come in SOOOOO handy!!

Good luck and those slopes will be screaming your name soon!!

Welcome Johnboy. From one Texan to another, you can do it. I have lost almost 150 already and my girlfriend has lost 95 or so already. This is in 8 months. We are in West Texas. Good luck to you both with your journey and your studies. You will do great! Stick with it!

Hi Johnboy:
Haven't I seen you on Television? Seems like about 25 years ago, like on "The Walton's?" But then again you were probably not born. Ha!

I knew when you made the comment about how to recognize a stroke that we had something in common. I am a RN and I'm form Texas, but retired to Arkansas.

Just keep on trying to work those shakes in. I love the banana shake. Shake them the night before, put the shakers and shake in an insulated lunch bag in the frig. Grab it on the way to school the next morning and they will taste soo good when you are ready for your meals and boost for the day.

Bye for now and don't forget to plan ahead.
