Hi ! My name is Jackie. Im a mother of 3, wife of 1, 2 dogs and a full time job. Needless to say, I have a very active life, but Im fat! Go figure?! I was looking into having surgery, Im 5'4" 265, but my husband was against it. He says he knows I can loose weight, just find something easy and stick to it. So I went online and found Nancy & Terry! Well, shortin' things up, I called Mon. nite, had a great talk with Terry, and my shipment was here when I got home on Wed. (I'm in NJ) COOL!! I'm going to start on Sat. so I have 2 full days before I go back to work. Wish me luck, but by the posts I'm reading as long as I do what I should, I cant fail :!:

Welcome to the forum! Are you excited about starting? I got so revved up about the whole thing that I had trouble waiting! Four weeks later, I'm still very excited and I think you'll get the same thing from the others here. It is so rewarding to finally have that weight start to fall off.

I also found myself toying with the idea of Bariatric surgery, but never seriously considered it. The risks are just too great. There was just a 37 year old woman in Boston who died this week while undergoing the procedure. Our kids need us too much to take those kinds of risks!

I'm sure you'll love Medifast!

Hey Lois, I used to live in Glassboro NJ -- not too far from Philly. That's where I grew up actually. Lived in NY for a while as an adult, but I've now turned into a country gal out here in the land of corn.

Sorry if I'm beating you to the punch Mike, but you know, you did point out the other day that you had the definite advantage in the potty room, so we gals have got to make up time where ever we can!!


Don't worry Jackie, the Medifast didn't do this to us, we were crazy long before the shakes!:D

Hi Lois,

I'm from South Brunswick in Central NJ maybe 1 hr from Philly. Ellen, my husband grew up in Newark Oh, Licking County. I tried to post before and it wont let me so if by so miricle it worked there will be 2 similar replys. I am starting fri instead of sat since my 2 little one are home sick . I am excited and I think it will be good to have the first 3 days at home to get off to a great start!

I'll post again to let everyone know how my first day was.

Sounds like we're not TOO far away, Jackie. Maybe we could get together some time.....clothes shopping for "skinny clothes" in the spring?!

How old are your kids? I have 5

4 boys ages 17, 11, 9 and 7 and my one and only daughter is 14.

Hope your kids are feeling better soon. I just KNOW you're gonna do great on Medifast

Terry and Nance were in San Diego during the fires. Nancy ended up in the hospital with a chunk of ash in her eye and a nasty cough. Too bad you couldn't have hooked up while they were there.
