Health Advisor?

Postby Kathy » March 13th, 2006, 10:06 pm

This may be a dumb question  but what is the health advisor, why do we need one and how do we get one?

It's not a dumb question at all. This was in a previous post (I think from Unca Tim):

As Take Shape for Life independent Medifast distributors, we have assembled a team of qualified, professional Health Advisors to better serve your individual needs. Each of our health advisors have passed the TSFL product knowledge test, and have successfully used Medifast products to improve their health for a variety of health needs. You may find that if you have specific health issues, we may have a health advisor that has faced the same situation as you. If you don't already have your own personal health advisor, browse through our list, and choose one of our quality professionals who best serves your needs.

Basically, they help with orders, but they also act as coaches, confessors, taskmasters, buddies ... whatever you need. The provide support - or a kick in the pants - when you need it. They answer questions, monitor your progress and offer advice. People seem to do better when they have one.

There's a list of advisors somewhere to browse through?

There's a partial list somewhere, but it's not very complete. I'd ask Nancy or Terry or Unca Tim. And I highly recommend Jan.

I feel like I'm choosing a doctor or a therapist and that I should choose wisely! I dunno what to do! I'll figure it out!

DeDe, they're not sales reps. While they do receive a kickback from the company, this is so that the service to you is free. Think of them more as personal cheerleaders and coaches. If all you need is someone to remind you to order, that's what s/he'll do.

My sister became a health advisor because this has become her passion, no other reason. The minimal amount she receives helps to cover the cost to her. (She calls those who want phone calls, etc. Her choice, not at all a requirement -- for those of you who are considering becoming health advisors)

I understand the concept now (It takes me a while!). I now think HA's are the greatest thing since sliced bread! I have my own cheerleader!

Yay!

I found a good one!
