have a ?

I'm confused about something, I saw this on the front page of this website and it sounds like you use the lean and green for maintenance???

"With our support and guidance, you'll be having a delicious shake or meal replacement* EVERY 3 hours to induce a very mild state of ketosis. Drink 64 oz of water during the day. Get adequate rest. Watch your stress level - limit your exercise and you're on your way to your desired weight. An extra bar or shake can be added on those high activity days or longer days where you need a little extra boost. Chose from a large variety of soups, shakes, chili and other delicious meal replacements. Try the pre-mixed ready to drinks for convenience.
To maintain your weight loss, follow the above plan, but substitute 1 lean/green meal for any meal during the day. It's as simple as that!"

Thanks!

Lean and Green

Postby Jan » February 10th, 2006, 9:44 am

Hi There,
Don't worry when you get to maintenance -- we have a whole program for you. It's all spelled out. That's so you won't gain back those unwanted pounds. We generally try to eat a "lean and green" as part of our daily meal plan. That's the best wait to stay healthy. Once in a while we will splurge but then go right back to the 3 MF products per day and 2 meals. Lean and greens are a delicious and easy wait to keep our weight exactly where we want it. On the 5 /1 program of course you eat 5 MF meals and one lean and green each day. It's pretty simple.

Jan,

Thanks for responding. I probably didn't word my question correctly. It seems to me they are saying do the 5/1 for maintenance and NOT for weight loss. Am I missing something?

5 and 1

Postby Jan » February 10th, 2006, 4:30 pm

Hi there,
There are two weight loss programs which use MF as meals. The first is the complete program -- 6 MF meals each day. This must be done under the supervision of a physician. The second is what we call the 5 and 1. When you use the 5 and 1 you have 5 MF meals each day and one "lean and green" That is 5 - 7 oz of a lean meat and 2 Cups of raw veggies or 1 and 1/2 cup of cookie veggies. The recommended veggies are listed in your Quick Start book. I have not noticed any difference in weight loss between the two programs. The only major difference is that the complete program must be supervised by a physician. I hope this helps you out a little more.
