Happy scale day!

Postby BerkshireGrl » November 23rd, 2004, 6:00 am

So, this morning my scale registered the Magic Number 199! WOOHOO! It's all downhill from here! ;)

And how do you get that incredibly strongly AWFUL smell out of a Nalgene bottle you forgot at work that had a leftover shake in it? OHMIGOD I almost saw green mists rising out of it when I opened it this morning to clean out The Goo.

Ewwwww. Ew. Ew.

But hey, 199, it's powerful stuff!

Hey Sarah, good for you, and a huge congratulations… Only 3 more till the 20 club huh? You’re doing great.

I remember we had a hoot of a discussion on the “green meanie” found in a overnighted unwashed Medifast container. You are not a true Medifaster till you experience the soy whiff – WOW – enough to gag the neighbors across the street. And of course you HAVE to give it another smell just to see if it is really that bad…..

Here was the fun we had a while ago…

So Thanksgiving is over... phew! Thank you all for sharing in my 199 joy! (And Camille for cheering for me! That really made me smile.)

I confess I did give in yesterday and ate a bit of appetizers (mostly pickled herring ha!) and had half a glass of wine, a tiny fruit cup, some goose and gravy, red pickled cabbage, and a small slice of pear gingerbread tart for dessert. Yes this is the strange menu at the German household.

Felt not so good afterwards despite eating probably 1/4 of what I USED to eat at Thanksgiving. Can't believe the food I used to put away. Kinda sick.

Ugh, dreaded the scale this morning, thinking I would have pushed myself over 200 again. But, only up a half pound, so 198 from 197.5, and now that is a gigantic relief!!

I'm going to my aunt's today to socialize with out-of-town friends, but I will avoid the drinks and the dips, and just talk my head off to distract them from me not eating ;) Then for dinner with my aunt after, we're going to a Vietnamese place, where I am planning on some light tofu and vegetable dish, and green tea.

Then no more worries till Christmas Day  I am very confident that Medifast is going to get off this flub off my body, and quickly. I am really looking forward to my reborn bod, and being able to run! I have always dreamed about running... but I don't think that will be good on the ol' knees until I weigh about 150.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and if you gave in like me, that your damage was minimal. Back on the plan - together!

Hey - OW!! :help:

Ok... I deserved that! I was not strong, I confess, I gave in to the Family Guilt! To all of you out there who stood tall and fought the good fight, YOU ROCK!

We are all entering the tough part of the year, where your coworkers will start to try to bury you in baked goods. Where the winter hibernation instinct will kick in and you may feel the urge to drag a deer with you into a cave and have a good dinner and long nap.

STAY STRONG! Thanksgiving was my day of weakness, but I have a newfound strength and determination, and a sore hand. ;) I am getting down there, although only in sight of the 20-pound Club, I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

It is far off, glimmering faintly, sometimes hazed up by the holiday cookie fumes, but it is THERE. We can all walk out, skinny and PROUD. Let's get there!

Kicking my own butt... with a little help from Camille...

Hehe, gotta watch that Camille! Now that she's at goal, she can get that foot up pretty high! I hear the NFL is recruiting her as a place kicker. ;)

Sarah,

You make me laugh out loud with the deer thing. Yes, your attitude is what I admire. You trip but can laugh at yourself. That's what we all need to do.

Spidey,

When in doubt, punt! Actually, I'd rather be a Rockette.

Pardon me everybody. I'm worse than some born-again Christians as far as sharing MF and crusading to keep others on the plan so they can feel the joy I do.

Fight the fat!
