Hi Beth...

I spent the day watching The Biggest Loser too. It was very good...and the finale was great. You'll get those 10lbs down again.Dont worry. You are beautiful and stong and have succeeded so much already. You can do it!!! :cleader:

But remember, although some of those people post 15 pounds losses for a week some exercise 6 hours a day and only lose 4 lbs-which is doable on Medifast!

I noticed that! The really good looking black guy from South Beach (I forget his name) was working out like 10 hours a day at the end- and came up with a ZERO loss at the second to last week. I could not believe it!

It was amazing to see the winner losing 12 pounds a week for so many weeks.

But now I wonder why we cannot work out on MF- it seems that these people exercised WAY over their caloric intake for the day- they had to be burning thousands and thousands of calories.

Ha haaaaa! Me and my husband watched it for 14 hours straight! We could not believe it! It is so addicting to watch.

Thank you for the words of motivation. I am so sick of losing the same weight and am ready to really kick butt!

You are right- I felt so lazy just sitting there watching them! The show motivated my husband to start working out today too- he does not have a weight problem at 6 feet and 175 pounds- but he would look way better with some muscle tone. He said "If these guys can do it, ANYONE can!"

yeah I would see at the end where they show the " these people are under medical supervision and diet and blah blah"...I wonder what diet they are on really? I mean from how they put the show together they are exerciding ALL day! And I felt bad for Wiley when it came up "0"...I have been there and its no fun.To bust your butt for that whole week and then nothing?!?! Who did you want to win? I sorta wanted Kai(women rule thing-LOL), but Eric definitly deserved it.He looked like a totally different person.
It was very motivating for me watching it.And I myself can not WAIT to be able to exercise...I have my brand new $$$ elliptical just sitting there...but I want to do this right. So yeah...

And you will kick some butt!!! No better time than the present! :)

We can just not in the beginning. I am not a scientist (just a fledgling social scientist) but I have heard it explained that if we start exercising too early when we are switching over to ketosis we can start burning muscle mass instead of our own fat. That is just the explanation I have read. Also, it can cause slower losses in the beginning, because of water retention I guess. Just what I have read on this board.

Waiting to exercise just gives our bodies a chance to adjust to the reduced calorie diet.

You saw right, Beth. I actually don't want to go any lower because all of my clothes fit right now.

Jo- not a bad problem to have!

Soo.... day two of compliance and I am having an IBS attack. I have been good all day- even when I had a headache while food shopping- I could have grabbed a Hershey bar to make it feel better and I didn't!

I have IBS too and have had attacks off and on over the past 44 days on program. A change in diet can trigger them, even if it is a healthy change!

Usually MF cures my BS becuase it constipates me- so they cancel each other out. I just have to get through the first few days though.

Well, Day Four and going strong! I barely have an appetite, which is good.
