re:
I have to be good
Just a comment here...I recently had a conversation with a friend who struggles with flabber, too. She talked about 'being good' and equated it with following the program. MHO...what we eat or don't eat does not make us 'good.' There truly are no 'good' and 'bad' foods.
If our goal is to reach our healthiest best in terms of energy levels to match the desires of our day, a healthy weight that produces efficient walking/movement/better quality of life with fewer disease issues and longer life, adequate fitness level, best self-esteem, then making health-giving food & activity levels should be our goal. Thus choosing to stick to and follow the meal plan with proven results is a way for us to create our health. Selecting our goal and then going for it means we have made a decision about how we will live for the day. Our goal to weigh a certain amount = how we will live. It (following the plan) then has less of a negative connotation.
Our decision can be moment to moment, hourly, daily, weekly, etc.
When we truly mean it – really, really want it super bad, then we will do the things it takes to get there no matter how great the pizza smells or how wonderful the bread looks; we will choose the healthy way over the impulse of the moment.
You are already good, Dark & Stormy.
You are making progress toward your goal of 130 pounds by July 4th and you are improving your physical and mental health at the same time.
Get well. Hope that throat snottage goes away soon and you are feeling happy and proud of the good progress you’ve made!
