Nothing to Fear?
Halloween is a time when we surround ourselves with scary images, but what about the real fears that we encounter on the weight loss journey? Some fears prompt us to start losing weight such as: wearing a bigger size, limited energy and mobility, an increased risk or diagnosis of heart disease, diabetes, or cancer. There are also the fears and worries that may plague us along the way such as: “will the restaurant have anything suitable to eat? How can I convince my family to eat the healthier meals I have prepared?” Then, there is the big fear that may be looming over us: will we keep the weight off for good once we have shed it, or will we join the estimated 95 percent who regain the weight? Take some time today to consider how fear has or maybe affecting your weight loss journey — and what steps you can take to address these fears today!
