My great .4# loss this week!

Postby Charity » October 19th, 2007, 3:34 pm

I went to visit the dietitian today and the results were .4# loss and I was blue :sadblue: . As I was waiting for my apt with her I sat there with a long face wondering why, when I have been OP, this happened. Sodium???? Skipped meals???

Then, we had our little meeting and guess what? I gained .8 # of water weight, 1.2 # of fat free mass, and lost a total of 1.6# of fat mass this week. Sooo, even though I lost 3# overall last week I did even better this week loosing .4# if you look at the relavent numbers! :whoohoo:

She said that many people when they get to this phase of the diet get really discouraged because the scale isn't moving and then they quit.

:coach: DON'T QUIT WHEN THE SCALE ISN'T MOVING FOLKS BECAUSE THINGS ARE A' HAPPENIN!!!! :bounce:

I am so happy to learn this today that I just had to share it on the boards! :goteam:

Aloha!

This is a great reminder Christy! Never forget that those .4s and .2s add up!

Thanks for sharing this!!! It really is a great reminder to all that the numbers on the scale are not always a true reflection of what your body is doing!

Congrats on the loss and muscle gain!!!

Thanks for sharing! I too was getting frustrated because I was stuck on 17 lbs all week. But, today I stepped on the scale and was 339.1. This is the first time I have been below 340 since my 19 month old was born!!!!!!! I have officially lost over 20#

Congrats to both of you on great successes!!!! I keep trying to tell ya'll that just because the scale isn't giving up its secrets that it doesn't mean we aren't still having success. There is just no way in the world that a person can stay compiant and not have success.

Way to go!!

Congrats, Charity. You are truly lucky to have a dietician who can break the numbers down to you.

I think anybody who questions their non-losses after being strict OP should be sent directly here to see how the dietician can break it down for them.

Great job Charity/Christy/etc... lol

I am going to look on the Carefirst website and see if they offer dietician services through my insurance. I would love to just see the numbers broken down.
