Got new order, now what??

Postby momof9403 » April 26th, 2005, 8:48 am

I just got my first 2 week starter kit, my first order was just shakes and bars. I really don't know how to plan my menu now. Any help is greatly appreciated ;)

TIA

The best advice I can give you is for you to read the frequently asked questions forum. There is a post about getting started. I think you will find it most helpful.

I don't know how to post a link but I think you can find it. (imagine that a computer teacher who doesn't know how to post a link?)

Unca Tim, do you just copy it from the URL and paste?

I guess I didn't make myself clear on what I was asking.. I was wanting to know any menu suggestions to plan my day, such as:

8am Shake
11am Bar
2pm Shake
5pm Chicken Noodle or Chicken w/Wild Rice Soup or lean/green meal
8pm Shake
11 pm Shake

Does this sound okay and right??

The entire FAQ section is good info for starting out.

Sorry Jennifer ~

Your schedule looks good to me. You are suppose to have 3 supplements before 2 pm, so it looks like that part is fine. If you didn't want to stay up that late to have your last shake, you could have it earlier.

What time do you get up in the morning? The reason I am asking is that you should have your 1st shake shortly after you get up. I think you are not suppose to go longer than about 45 minutes after you wake up.

Donica is right Jennifer, your schedule looks okay to me too. DON'T FORGET THE WATER!!! At least 64 oz. per day.........some say they drink 100 0z.

Read the material that came with your package. It will give you good tips along with the FAQ section of the forum.

Basically, it is the number of supplements and the time frames in which you drink/eat them that is important. What you choose is up to you......whatever are your favorites. The only limit is no more than one bar per day. Some people say they get tempted by the bars.......so watch out.

My wife eats a variety of the Medifast foods. She uses all the soups and especially likes the oatmeal and of course the shakes. As for me, I tend to stick with the shakes. There are plenty of flavors and with the DaVinci sugar free syrups, I can create a lot of additional flavors.

Have fun losing weight.......each time you see a loss, you will find yourself smiling.

Hey Jennifer. I agree your plan sounds great. The only thing I can add is that I found I had to tweak my plan a bit. In the morning I cannot go more than 2 hrs w/out a meal. I am way too hungry and then bad thoughts creep into my head and my spoon creeps into the PB! I have to eat every 2 hrs for the 1st 3 meals and then I really slow down and spready my last 3 out farther as I just need to fill my tanks in the morning.

So...be willing to be flexible so you don't starve and sway!

I always have a shake within 15 minutes of getting up, which is anywhere from 730a-830a. I know I need to drink more water, and am working on that. Also I'm glad to know that my plan sounds okay. Thanks for all the support and help from all posted.

Thanks
Jennifer
