I'm here to tell you if you haven't tried the RTD's, you're missing it. They're delicious! Yes, they are creamier than the dutch choco shake from the packet. Yes, they taste better (to me). And yes, they are very convenient.

I would try them except for the very rare times when I am on the go I bought an adorable Hello Kitty shaker with pop-up straw in HK! I can hardly wait to need to use it although I have tried it out around the house to see how cute I look drinking out of it.

Biki - You should wear a tiara to go along with the Hello Kitty look. :D
Cheers!

I agree. Years ago, my assistant gave me a toy tiara as a birthday present. It was a slight dig but I was a demanding boss.

:x

Today marks my two week anniversary on the program and I feel like I've slowed down... both in my weight loss and in my enthusiasm. I have not been 100% compliant, but have been 95% compliant. Now, I know that unless I'm 100% compliant the loss will not be as sure or as quick. BUT, I still feel like I've been eating almost to the letter and my scale not only stays the same but has today jumped up a pound. So, from Day 1 I was down 9 pounds at one point, but now am at a net loss of 6.3 lbs. It's just hard to believe that I could gain weight eating the amount that I do - compared to my old habits. Ah well....

I need to get off my pity party chair and kick myself in the butt and keep going, but I wish I'd see some progress on the scale that would encourage me. I'm drinking at least 90 oz of water a day. I also need to weigh and measure my L&G at night. I've just been eyeballing a chicken breast, lettuce, or a hamburger patty, etc.

Sooo, I thought I'd jump back in the forum and get my butt back in gear. Today is a new day and I look forward to being 100% compliant - a day at a time. I've also changed my goal weight from 129 to 135. I think it is going to be more realistic for me and I know I'll be happier at that weight - I haven't been there in ages!

Thanks for letting me vent! :x :x :x :x :x
Cheers!

Hi there, goodtaste!
I can relate to your feelings. I ended up changing my goal also. I did that just this weekend. I was looking at my account on FitDay and when I was analyzing all my data, I realized that what I really wanted was a healthy BMI, so I took my healthy target BMI and translated that into my goal weight which was 145 instead of 140 which also feels more "doable" for me. Certainly beats the pants off of 200!

Finally finally finally. I'm out of the 180s and into the 170s. Barely. But there nonetheless. It has been interesting to see how my body adapts (or doesn't) to my eating on the program. I think from reading many of the other posts that I expected to be 12 or 15 pounds down at this point (just over 2 weeks), but I will be happy with my 7 and continue the march.

I am lucky because I don't mind drinking water. I hear that it's tough for a lot of folks to get the water in and I can slosh down 90+ ounces a day.

I also ordered 5 cases of the RTD shakes and they arrived yesterday. Poor UPS guy! :D To me, one of the keys to success is convenience. Especially as I travel - I think they will be a life saver and I'm so happy I found them. I'm a little concerned about checking an entire suit case of little chocolate milks on an airplane, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. :D

So, for today I will take the small victory and keep my eye on the goal. I know that I want this and I have to consciously make that choice every day - heck, even every hour at many times. Is that Cadbury Chocolate Egg really THAT delicious?

Have a great day.
Cheers!

Pfft those eggs aren't delicious, might as well just eat a half cup of sugar cause that's all it is - condensed sugar hehe.

Congrats and hey, if the scale bothers you stop weighing every day. It always fluctuates up and down because that's just natural. It's best to weigh only a few times a week or even just once. :)

I drink 100 oz a day too and it's a breeze but I sit around all day so what else am I supposed to do? On your actual carry-on (and they always suggest taking Medifast with you in case they lose your luggage) you won't be allowed to take the RTD because they are liquid and over 3 ounces. So make sure you have anough powdered shakes and bars on your person.

Damn Osama Bid What's his name. Remember when a girl could pack a Hartman bag full of chocolate milks - no questions asked! Grrrr...

Anyway, I'm at a challenging point. I have an event this weekend at the W Hotel Seattle. All my expenses are paid (as I'm working for my client) and I'm normally excited to open my mini bar and partake in the ridiculously expensive little bottles of vodka, the $8 cans of tonic and the $4.50 M&Ms. Today I sadly just touched them all gently...kind of in remembrance of days gone by.

I've packed a boatload of the RTDs and plan to strap them to by body throughout the conference to be fully prepared at all moments.

Should be a fun few days but those expensive M&Ms are calling me name. Damn it...
Cheers!

In HK, I just had them remove all the contents of the minibar so I wouldn't have to look at the booze or food and my husband wouldn't spend 55HKD eating some cashews!
