My child is having her child Wednesday, making Brian and myself Nonno and Nonna!

Her due date is actually on Friday the 23rd, she had an ultrasound today to size him up. He's approximately 8 lbs 10 ozs right now (give or take a few ozs)! 1 cm dilated, 50 % effaced. Doc said "lets rock n roll!".

So...I'm headed out first thing in the morning (after dropping Brian off at the airport...he's headed to Reno for work) across Texas to watch my first grandchild being brought into the world and of course to hang out with and spoil him for about a week.

I'm sooooo excited!!!! Just thought I'd share!

Oh Joelie! I'm so happy for you. Witnessing my first grandchild's birth was one of the most wonderful events of my life......right up there with the birth of my own children only none of the pain.

In fact, grandchildren are like that.......all love and no pain.

Thanks everyone. Actually I am too young to be a grandparent (not in reality, but in my reality). I am only 33. I'll still claim him though because he will be spoiled by me and we can hand him back to his momma.
