Hope you will be getting some well-deserved vacation time this holiday season, to relax, but of course not to pile on those pounds!

Unca, if you could please move me into the 40 lb club, I'd be very excited to be there ;)
Thanks,
see you in hte 50 club sooooooooon,

Karen & Nancy,

Thanks for the encouragement!!! :D

Mornings ARE great... I'm crashing now though, I am soooo beat! Time for beddy-bye! Boy. I got to sleep last late night at - midnight I think? Funny, you might tell your body to go to bed at 10, but it has its own ideas. I did force it out of bed this morning at 5:30 though. From about 3 pm on, it was a zombie contest. I almost fell asleep during a haircut at 4 pm

I am DEFINITELY determined to hit 140! YES! I am going to have an extremely celebratory day when that occurs. Or week ;) And I don't mean foodwise because that would spoil the whole thing. One nice fancy meal out at a restaurant I adore maybe, but the rest in massages, pedicures, new clothes, you know... the little things in life

Mmm, sleep! Good night all!

Thanks for all the kudos, fellow losers!

And Karen, I just realized that you started about where I did back in August, so hi there

I am so happy for you! The feeling that you have power over food is addictive! The more small victories you have--even those where you leave the fellowship hall (baby shower, Pampered Chef party) in a cold sweat because you made it by the skin of your teeth....the more that feeling of power, control and mastery will grow and become a habit.

I have to agree with Nancy wholeheartedly about making smart choices when caught out without a meal. I can be very airheaded at times and don't follow routines all that well, so it's good that I'm mostly a homebody with round the clock access to my Medifast cupboards! LOL
On those occasions when I have caught myself out and suddenly overwhelmed with pangs, I make the best choice possible. I don't have a lean/green every day, so most of the time I can find a grilled chicken salad someplace. If we go someplace a bit nicer, I go with the smallest, leanest steak on the menu (and sometimes have to cut off some of it and take it home) with a salad or steamed veggies.
Though I like milk, drinking it as a meal replacement would be my last resort, but I have done it!
The bottom line is accountability--I know I'm an airhead and the Medifast bars do help me with that but recently the ones I've ordered have been on backorder, so I'm a little lost--LOL Habits, habits, habits.
At any rate, I'm thrilled for you that you ignored the food and focused on you! One small victory at a time will win you the war in no time!

Susanna<--built a gingerbread house today, baked & decorated 2 dozen sugar cookies and a caramel-stuffed german chocolate bundt cake. DIDN'T EVEN LICK THE BEATERS!
I love Medifast!

Wow. That's all I know to say.

susanna.... we must be gluttons for punishment... all that baking you are doing... and I, I have two classes left of a 12 week cake decorating course I started before MF. Each week I make tons of buttercream, royal and fondant icing. It is a challenge to remember DO NOT LICK your fingers! Wednesday night we will learn how to make poinsettias, easter lilies and several other flowers. Next week for "graduation" will be a 2-tiered wedding cake! The folks at my husbands office love it... he takes the cakes in on Thursdays.
I had noticed that we started at the same place, so I've been "watching" you! Sometimes, when I look ahead, it seems like it will take FOREVER to get this weight off, but then, I look at where you are and I feel very hopeful. Keep up the good work, each time you post, helps me a bit more.... One day at a time!

I had to smile when I read about all the foody things some of you have been doing lately and NOT succumbing to licking and scarfing.

After I had been Medifasting for a month I had weekly baking sessions for church. It was hard the first few times to not sample the finished baked goods but then as I SAFELY survived without scarfage, I felt extremely proud of myself and actually it empowered me. It became a game for me to see how strong I could be and I ALWAYS won.

I am coming up on my two year weight maintenance anniversary in February and the last couple of months became difficult for me again so I just stopped baking. Now I am feeling strong again and am going to bake three things this week but will give any left-overs away in the afternoon of CHRISTmas Day. I do not over-eat two days in a row. Set yourself up for success and you will be.

WOOOHOOO!!! :cleader: :cleader: :cleader: I have finally done it!! You can add me to the 20# club. I am so excited! At "only" 2 lbs a week, I feel like it has taken forever to get here, but I know that MF has gotten me here faster than anything else would have!! So, I'll just keep plugging away at it, until I reach my goal.

Please enter me into the #10 club!!!

I started 2 weeks ago tomorrow! I am thrilled with the results so far!

The only problem is I have run out of shakes! I have some soups and chili left. I placed my order on 1/20 and it was shipped the same day. We had a big storm in the northeast and everything is delayed! I'm told that the ETA is tomorrow! I keep looking for the FedEx truck.

I will never let my supply get so low again! :(

Dear Becoming Littler LittleMe ~

Yup, winter time can be dangerous to those on the Medifast Diet...ice and snow storms create havoc...plan ahead always!

If you run out of shakes, you can have a glass of skim milk (or low-fat), if you can gag it down.
