Giving up....

I am giving up my normal suit an tie life and I am going to pretend I make my living playing poker.

Just a heads up that you won't be seeing any posts from me for a few days. Not like I post I tremendous amount, but it will be less than normal..that is unless I find an open wi-fi connection and I can jump on using my PDA. Oh yeah...guess I should mention I am leaving sunny Ohio behind tonight after work for Sin City! No, I am not going to Homestyle Buffet...it's VEGAS BABY! :yay: Where I will have to exert some real will power! So for the next few days I will be sharing my time between the poker and craps tables and a sports book on Saturday to watch and bet on the Belmont.

This is somewhat of a milesone for me today as well. I am off first this morning for a check-up and official 8 week weigh-in at the Doctor's office. My scale read 49lbs. lighter this morning than it did 8 weeks ago. A little bummed because I wanted 50 but I can get over it cause I round up! Hopefully the Doc's scale gives me close to the same weight.

Anyway....here's to being a LOSER in OHIO but not in Vegas!

Wild...you almost gave me a heart attack with that subject line!!!!! I should have known better LOL!

You did not fool me with your subject, lol. Have a great time and don't miss the water show at the Bellagio.....it's one of the free things you can do there after losing your shirt, hehe.

Got a few minutes for a quick post....thanks for all the well wishes...Hopefully the LOSER status stays in Ohio. Sorry if I gave anyone a little scare....it was pretty much on purpose. Just my own delusional way of knowing that someone actually reads my posts or replies.

Here is the update from my Doc's scale. It is official 49lbs. Could have made 50 if I would have started my strip tease routine like I do at home, but I didn't want to have to contend with all the nurses ogling me. :oops: So I accepted the 49lb loss and went on my way with a large grin :mrgreen: The next test for me is tonight, seeing if I can get by with out a seat belt extension on the plane. Even if I do I don't mind cause I am a heck of a lot smaller than the last time I flew in January.

So there's all the news that's news....Note to self...need to read up on the Journal thing....missed that thread along the way somewhere.

Hope everyone's ticker is moving the "right" way!

I'm a little late here (what else is new?), but congrats, and good luck in Vegas!! Even if you do still need an extender, it's a pretty safe bet that you won't for long!!

You certainly gave me a shock this morning. :? Woke me right up better than coffee!!! I've got your number now though and I won't fall for this again!!! :mrgreen: Have a great time in Vegas. Drink lots of water..it's hot hot hot there. Stay away from those things called buffets that are there just to plump us up!!! Have fun!!!

Congratulations on the 49 lbs gone forever. You are doing terrific!!

Have a fabulous time in Vegas. It's one of my very favorite vacation destinations. Hope you win big and remember - "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!!!"
