giving in?

I have been reading some of the new posts where people are starting and getting munchies. You guys all say it takes the 3 days to get back into it. Is that if you completely go off it? Or can you do all your shakes and say have cheese pizza for dinner one night. Will you feel bad for the next 3 days just for that? Just wondering I have been having some real cravings and maybe just need to get it out of my system. Thanks.

They say it's 3 days getting back because if you are kicked out of ketosis, that's how long it takes to get back into it. Ketosis is what makes Medifast so easy, well, part of the reason. Anyway, eating pizza is not recommended because it will most definately put you back to square one.

Best just to wait for those things until maintenance.

I know but i am just so tired of lettuce, pickles, beef and chicken.

Sounds like you need to take a look at the recipe section. No need to be living on that alone. Get creative with your L&G. Unless you are like me and actually like having chicken and veggies every night :)

Then get more creative. Switch to different vegetables. Check out the "Lean Cuisine" section of this board for recipes.

Me again. I also suggest registering with the mymedifast site if you havent already. Once again they have some discussion boards (not as cozy as these). There is a recipe section with a search function.
Start date: 2-05-07

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

I know what you mean about cravings but please, DON'T GO THERE! It's never worth it (and this from a multiple cheater here) and the risk of being off for a whole slew of nights instead of just one is HUGE. I know I should take my own advice but I just had to tell you, the first step off plan is pretty easy but the first step back on plan can be very, very hard. Weigh your choices very carefully.

Thank you for all the advice and support. I am in my 4th week and have not cheated ONCE and really do not believe I would go overboard and I don't think I would have a hard time getting back on. I babysit out of my house and thrive on routine and that is why this has been so perfect for me, I don't have to think. I guess time will tell, but i will try my best guys, thanks.

Hi Stacie,
I would strongly recommend you stay "true to the course" :D til you're at your desired weight. I've been helping people for some time now. It seems that sometimes even the most dedicated have difficulty getting going again once they take a "foody adventure". :cry: It seems it takes much much more will power to get going again. :cry: Don't worry .. pizza is not going to fade off the earth while you're on program. :mrgreen: It will be there when you are on maintenance. Then you can have a piece now and again.. not everyday... When you reach your goal weight, then transition and go on maintenance. You've worked hard so far to part with the pounds .. and you want those pesky pounds to stay gone :mrgreen:

Or, if you are part of the TSFL arm of Medifast, then register with the Support in Motion site... its similar to the MyMedifast site, but its geared specifically for those of us that are TSFLers.

If you need more info, check with your HA.

Actually you don't have to be a TSFL member to use the Support in Motion site. It's open to everyone.

Ok, guys. I've been around a long time and haven't heard of Support in Motion. I think there was a hint at one time that TSFL was starting a sight, but I never got the memo!!!!!! Don't you want to advertise it?
