giving MF another try

Postby Ginger » January 30th, 2008, 7:10 pm

It has been a few years since I have done MF and I have packed on the lbs. I have commited to 4 weeks so far (have not recieved my order yet). I see there are lots of new products Chili, Eggs, Peach oatmeal, new bars and chai latte. I would appreciate any input on what people enjoy most as far as supplements go. If I want to loose between 75 and 100 lbs which plan should I use the 5/1 or the 6/0? Is there a list of what meats and veggies I can/can't have?

thanks in advance for any help.

Unless you are going to be under the strict care of a doctor, I wouldn't recommend the 6 & 0. The 5 & 1 gives you the opportunity to have something to really eat. That is actually important for many people. Some people alternate between the two plans. Sometimes I don't feel like eating a lean and green so I just have another MF meal.

When you get your order you should also get a book that will give you the list of stuff for the lean and green.

Welcome to the board. You should sign up so you can access the whole board and get full benefit.

Feel free to PM me if you want more info or have more questions.

I LOVE the variety! I never thought I'd like the scrambled eggs, but I have them 2-3 times a week now! When I first started, I didn't like the Chili, but crave it some days now! It's just so cool they're giving us so much variety and I don't feel deprived or bored at all!

My current addictions are the chocolate mint bars and chocolate pudding made with raspberry crystal light (tastes like red velvet cake!)

I also love the Beef Stew and have ALL the flavors of the oatmeal because they're so filling!

As Rodeomom says, 6-0 needs to be done under the STRICT supervision of a Dr, but I do it on travel days. It's nice to be able to go out with friends and order a chicken salad and just have a regular meal in or out...I wouldn't want to give it up! The difference in losses isn't enough for me to give up that enjoyed meal!

The quick start guide should come with your order, it'll have a list of lean and green items we're allowed. If it's not in your order, there's one around here somewhere that you can download and we can find you the link.
Glad you're back, check in often, I don't know where I'd be without the support and cheerleading these boards provide!

Ginger,

I, too, originally committed to 4 weeks. I ended up sticking around to lose 146 pounds. Wishing you loads of success. :D

I did the four-weeks thing, too, at first. I didn't think there was any way I'd be able to stick with something so restricted. But I did, for a year and a half (I'm a very slow loser).

Welcome! Ask any questions you may have, and be sure to check out the Lean Cuisine section for ways to prepare (and doctor up) the products to make them more to your liking.

Has your box of Medigrub arrived yet?

We've been wondering if you started on the program yet.

Best wishes to you!

Welcome

Give all food that comes in your starter pack more than one chance; I had discounted some foods that only a week later tasted good. Because after a week of not eating foods flavored with high fat, sugar, and salt my tastebuds were different.

Also I found out that you can order single packets and try things out before making an investment in a product you wont eat. There is also a site on the forum that you trade foods with others (use caution and trade with regular members).

best luck! :toast:

ps.. starting a journal may help if you haven't already on the forum because you can rant or call out for support if needed.

I got my medifast stuff. I am starting on Thursday 2/7/08 since I have 3 days off work to get use to the plan.

Wish me luck! :D

Also how do you order single packets of stuff?

On the lean and green meal if you want an egg and some chicken how do you know how much chicken you can have?

The only instructions I got with my box was a one page leaflet. I am still a little confused on how to do this. I want this to work for me so I am looking for ideas for meals. :?:
