There is this really expensive coffee/chocolate shop downtown Seattle that makes a chocolate expresso with cayenne! It's so yummy, probably because I love spicy things! It's also good because the added heat helps to warm you up! I missed having one so I made my own version.

In Mexican cooking, there is also a sauce for meat, usually chicken, that is made with poblano peppers and sometimes has chocolate in it, called mole. I like the kind with chocolate best! My first social faux pas involves chicken mole. I was 5 and at a wedding reception in Mexico City. The table was covered with a large white crocheted table cloth so delicate it looked like lace. I got mole sauce all over it somehow. My mother didn't get angry with me but apologized profusely to anyone who would listen. Mole sauce is almost as dark as Hershey's syrup just a little more red and I made a HUGE stain.
