Hello ladies and HAPPY NEW YEAR to both of you.

It has been a stressful week so I haven't been online, I missed my weigh in...and actually didn't weigh in until this morning.

My father got some type of skin infection on his head and it was spreading so fast they thought it might be a staph infection. His temperature was 104 and his face, head and neck were super swollen and red. He was in the hospital for 5 days and was released this morning. It was scary enough he was so sick but it was even more scary because I help take care of my grammy and she was worried sick so it was a double duty deal checking up on both of them. At any rate, all is well today but it was super busy at work.

Needless to say, my eating pattern was all over the charts while all this was going on. Some days not eating, other days eating sporadically but the worst part was my water intake! I do not drink tap water so when I run out I dehydrate pretty quick which makes me retain water.

Today's weight on the scale was 195.4 which was actually better than I thought it would be...but that means I gained because the last time I weighed in it was 192.8. Sooo..I am drinking lots of water trying to rehydrate and drop the retention.

I did well on my supplements today. Tomorrow should be a lot better all the way around as my kidneys may be kind and forgive me for drying them out a tad bit.

I have no idea what day I'm on so I will try to get online tomorrow from work to see what my progress is (or isn't) and try to catch up with the site a bit. Seems like I haven't been here in a long time.

wow! you HAVE had a stressful week. I'm glad everything has worked itself out now. At least your dad is ok now and hopefully things will settle down. Is grammy a little less stressed now too? I know how older people can worry, my grandma is the same way. You're right, you are just retaining water. Your body was so used to consuming a lot of h20 and now you sent it thru shock. Those couple of pounds will just fall right back off. kym, chynna and i are going to catch you on the exercise front. You seem to have it mastered already!

Hi Carrie,

Sorry to hear about your father. But glad he is okay now. And grammy too. Just like erica said you will drop that weight in no time.

Hope you have a wonderful 2008

Thank you Katie!

Both my dad and grammy are doing better.

Today I weighed in at 193.8 back down again but hopefully over the next week I get to the 180's and make the 20 pound club.

I leave for Vegas on Wednesday and I really want to take advantage of all the walking and drop some pounds.

Thank you for your kind words Tawanda!

Today's weight = 192.8

I had a pretty good weekend, enjoyed watching the Seahawks beat the Redskins and sat around laughing with friends and family. The place we were at to watch the game was so loud and crowded I felt like I was actually at the stadium! I love football season and wish it lasted longer, but it will soon be over for the year.

I really would like to hit 188 punds soon but we'll see. Right now it seems elusive and quite frankly, I have a little anxiety about being away from my scale for 5 days while in Vegas. I'm not really worried about gaining but I do like to know what my weight is each morning. It seems to keep me focused.

I feel like I have a lot of supplements which sort of baffles me. No matter how much I eat I have shakes every where. Well, actually I dont' have a lot of RTD's which tells me that I need to slow down a bit because I haven't had time to make shakes. Which leads me to a dilemma, I have no idea how I am going to do this in Vegas! :? I know the room has a microwave and hopefully a coffee pot where I can warm up some water but I wish like hell I could take my blender with me. I did not send RTD's ahead to Vegas so I have to make shakes, pudding an oatmeal throughout the day because I won't really be in the hotel room much.

By the time I return from Vegas it will be close to the two month mark on this program. That is pretty big for me because not since I did Atkins the first time have I managed to stay on a program this long. I do feel like I 'm getting a little sick of eating oatmeal and need a break. I have tons of soups that I haven't eaten either so I may trade them with someone who likes them. I really prefer the shakes and chocolate pudding the most.

Oh well, I guess I'll stop jibbering...and get back to work. I have a lot to do this evening...like washing clothes and packing for my trip. I also have to ccok food for my 20 year old daughter...she still hasn't managed to make anything more than Macaroni & Cheese or Oatmeal for herself. So I have to cook her a few meals that she can just heat up while I'm away.

Carrie, I like going to Vegas so I'm a bit envious of your trip. Do the best you can with the supplements you have and just enjoy the time there. You've done so well on program and you will get this figured out so that you'll be able to stick to program. You're smart and determined, you can do this and stick to program while gone.

(Weren't those 'hawks great?! Hopefully Saturday they'll do well, too).

Enjoy your trip and keep your mindset and determination firm. You can stick to program, continue on your journey to healthy and be another shining example of how people can travel/vacation while sticking to program. YOU CAN DO THIS -- and you will. :D I'll be thinking of you---enjoying Vegas and also sticking to program.

Today's weight is 188. I guess that puts me in the 20 pound club! :D

I feel like I haven't been here in like forever! I am having a lot of computer problems and will more than likely have to purchase another one which is the pits! I swear there must be a 4 year shelf life on a PC before you have to get another one.

Vegas was a blast although I suffered from extreme dehydration! I got back on the 14th and was drowned in a desk full of work all week and wasn't really able to log on to post here. I didn't eat much in Vegas...mostly out of fear of eating something crazy so it seems like it took a while to readjust to eating every few hours once I got home. I won a little under $4000. while there which was pretty cool. I bought a digital camera and plan to take some updated pictures whenever I can trust that my computer isn't going to die on me.

Anyway, I am enjoying my chocolate puddings...that is practically all I've been eating lately.

Hope all is well with everyone.
