5 & 1 or full fast?

Postby joylk » March 11th, 2005, 7:59 am

I will be starting my MF program tommorow. I should receive my kit and info today. My question is about which way to start. 5 & 1 or full fast. I did order the oatmeal and the soup so I feel like these are meals? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm so excited!

I was the same way, couldn't wait to get started! :D

I did three days of full fast (this is 6 medimeals which include oatmeal and soups). I then switched to 5:1 and realized I liked the full fast better. I do that 90% of the time. Only time I eat a lean/green is if I have a work lunch or my hubby really wants us to go out to dinner!

Of course, everyone will tell you, only do the full fast w/ supervision from your doctor!

Welcome aboard. Happy shakin'! :exercise:

I like the full fast better too. The whole reason I like Medifast better than "regular" diets is because there's no guesswork involved. Doing the 5&1 brings the guess work back in. I do like to be able to have a salad or go out to eat occasionally though. :)

Ditto.. Ditto...Ditto... for me to...the complete for me is a no brainer...I pick 6 packets and I'm done...no thinking...no worrying...no temptations...however either plan works great if your faithful to it...you just have to do what works best for you....Welcome aboard!!!

Hi!
I have to say that I am a big believer in the full fast as much as possible in the beginning. I tried the 5 & 1 for greater than a week and had NO loss. I switched to the full and have lost 6 pounds in 2 days. I will also add in a lean/green if I need to when my husband and I are out, but for the most part, I'm a fan of the complete fast. Good luck and keep us posted!! :D
