Freezing Oatmeal Cookies.....

Postby Finally_Losing » July 10th, 2006, 7:35 am

Hey everyone :) I searched for topics on freezing the oatmeal cookies and couldn't find anything. So I did a little test this weekend, froze a few of them in the hard plastic Ziplock container and took it out this morning....they were great. No difference at all. So I'll be making more so I can freeze them! :)

Thanks,
Amy

I do and also do the same with the brownies. By the time I get to lunch time, they are softened up and just like normal.

Here is the recipe from another post. I use mini muffin pans for mine. It makes 3 or 4 a serving instead of 1 brownie. Also, I have used vanilla berry oatmeal and it is good. The chunks of bluberry taste like chocolate chips

Medifast Approved Brownie Recipe:

4 packets of oatmeal, (not peach or vanilla berry)

3 packets of chocolate shakes

1 package of chocolate pudding

3 T. canola oil

4 packages splenda

1 T of cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix all ingredients and then add water until it looks like brownie mix.
Use a 9x13 inch cake pan, sprayed with non-stick spray on butter, and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

If you don't have chocolate pudding, use a shake as the 8th supplement.

The squares usually weigh out to about 3 oz. each and I just cut them up, weigh them and package them to take with me anywhere I go.

They are moist and brownie-like.

(Recipe taken from another post)

Serving size: This recipe makes 8 servings, so no more than 5 of these may be eaten per day!

Each brownie counts as one Medifast Supplement..
Don't really care as long as everything's better than yesterday was...
