? for anyone doing MF with PCOS

Do you all use the regular suppliments or do you use the diabetic ones? I am not diabetic but have insulin resistence due to PCOS. It just hit me reading someone else's post that I wonder if the diabetic stuff would be better.

PCOS

Postby Ginabobina1969 » June 17th, 2006, 5:53 pm

PCOS here and I use the regular products. Right before I started MF I hadn't had TOM for approx two months...2 weeks into mf..BAMN!! I have been between 34-36 days apart since then ( which for me is just about unheard of) and I know this because I do chart that sorta stuff.

Personally, I would suggest trying the regular line of products first(unless your diabetic) and seeing how it goes...if you feel like you need to switch after that then go for it.

Gina

Thanks girls. I hadnt even thought of it until today. I am really curious to know what is going to happen with my TOM. I havent had one since January and normally only get one with provera or a weight loss (which is what happened in January). What a lovely NSV,

No PCOS, but I'm insulin-resistant with a ton of diabetes in my family. Everyone BUT me, so far, including both parents, my brother and all my maternal aunts and uncles.

I use both products. I don't really have shakes other than the RTDs, and lately I avoid the bars. But when I DO have a bar, I lean more toward the diabetic ones most of the time. Fewer flavors, but I seem to tolerate them a little better.

PCOS here, too. I'm using the regular products. I might try the diabetic ones, though, after reading Vicky's post. The regular ones are pretty sweet! I don't like the diabetic bars, though. DH, however, love the diabet peanut butter bar over the regular one.

Tomorrow is my first day on MF and I will be breaking open the packets tonight to set up my meals for tomorrow. I am very interested in finding out how these things taste.

Thanks for your input everyone. I think the next order is going to be a mix depending on how I feel about the stuff I got for this month.

Diana, I agree with your husband. Although I don't LOVE the diabetic peanut butter bar, I don't hate it as much as I do the regular one!!
