Food Addict here!

Postby jayzoe » November 26th, 2007, 6:23 pm

Hello all! Just started the program TODAY, I have about 40-50 pounds to lose and also have to get used to an entirely new mindset.

I'm a food addict--I don't eat for emotional reasons or because I'm hungry, I do it because I can't NOT do it. I feel very much like alcoholics do, in that they can't just have a little bit of alcohol, they have to have the whole bottle... I can't eat just one chocolate or piece of cake or chip, I have to have the entire amount that I have in the house.

So I'm hoping that this will help get me on the right track, reset my brain in eating, etc.

Wish me luck! :D

Welcome Jay. Similar situation here, and this program is great. You can do this.

8)
Pre WLS 460
Low after WLS 300
Start of MF 350
Previous MF low 280
Restart MF 330

I have to be careful not to confuse excellence with perfection. Excellence, I can reach for; perfection is God's business.

Hi jay, welcome :D Keep the junk foods out of the house (as much as humanly possible). Keep your MF meals readily available. Good luck on the program and we are ALWAYS here for support!

thanks for all the welcoming! I'm ridding my house of all my trigger foods and trying to convince my hubby not to buy anymore! I think I'll head over to the Journal section and start my own thread, I seem to do better if I write things down...

Welcome Jaezoe,

I'll wish you luck, but you won't need it.
Just stick to the plan and you'll see great results.
Can't wait to read about how well you're doing.
