Hi All,

I just came across this in my People Magazine: Flavor Spray Diet

"The David Burke Flavor Sprays™ contain zero calories, zero fat, zero cholesterol, zero carbohydrates and FDA-approved Food flavoring. Whether you are on a low carb, no carb, low fat, no fat, no sugar, point system, or counting calorie diet, the Flavor Spray is right for you!"

Has anybody else come across this? Is it something we can use like the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray? Check it out at FlavorSprayDiet dot com. The flavors available are unbelievable. It looks too good to be true.

I've heard of those before, but I don't know any details. I think tasting some of those things would just make me want the real thing even more. For me, "out of sight, out of mind" works better. I try to focus on what I CAN eat and learn to enjoy that stuff.

To me, it looks too good to be true...I mean, I totally believe they are calorie, fat and carb free, but it's hard to believe that one little spray makes oatmeal, for instance, taste like a banana split. :grin: But I hope someone will give it a try and let us all know if it lives up to it's claims...hehe

6 bucks for a 2 oz. bottle

Some flavors look a little nasty to me, but a few look pretty interesting.

Maybe, some day....

I checked them out - they are zeros across the board, sodium is 10 mg per 2 sprays...go for it...

I actually heard about these a little while back on a TV show. Heard they were good and worked for quite a few people to help them lose weight!

Some of the sweet flavors look good. And I normally would go for bread and meat instead of desserts, but I did see a few flavors I would run from :(



When you posted this I was thinking about my next paycheck and seeing if there was any money to spare.

That Ice Blue Salt Spray raised my plucked eyebrows....all I could think of is those little blue ice packs tht we use in our coolers to keep drinks chilled! Just one spritz and there are mini ice blue salty-tasting squishy-feeling plastic wrapped packettes sitting upon my green beans! Hah!

(Must be jet lag I'm feeling today, eh?)

When any of you try them, give us a report!

I just emailed the web site to see what the heck Ice Blue Salt Spray is supposed to taste like. I can't even imagine!

OK, here's what I was emailed about the Ice Blue Salt Spray:

Ice Blue Salt is a cooling salt flavor, that is a spray salt with a mint overtone.


I have never heard of such a flavor combination. What would you possibly put Ice Blue Salt Spray on? The web site recommends putting it on celery or carrots. No Thanks!

Now the Parmesan Cheese Spray on veggies sounds great!

I sort of agree with whoever stated earlier that we're better off not re-introducing that flavor back into our minds (and noses and bellies), it's almost a cruel joke! But they have done studies recently about how a scent or flavor can trigger a sense of satisfaction and satiety previously thought only possible with eating the food...so I am curious to try. I think I'll wait until maintenance.

I wanted to mention, however, that David Burke is a tremendous chef. In my foody days (my friends and I love to go to all the best restaurants in NYC) I went to many of David Burke's restaurants and they are DEVINE! He is really a master, so I'd hardly expect him to put anything out on the market that is less than great. He isn't some schlock inventor on late night cable, I assure you.

Just my two cents.
