First week very successful!!! Yeah, finally!

Postby caligirl » July 13th, 2006, 5:11 pm

I weighed in this morning with a 9.5 pound loss in my first week! I'm so motivated. I saw a daily loss on the scale, and it kept me going. I'm not absolutely crazy about the food, but I'll tell you, it's worth that kind of progress!
Also, with my lean and green meal so restrictive, it's saving me loads of time in the grocery store, and in the kitchen. Just what I needed! Stop obsessing about food and good choices, and get to business!

I'm a 34 year old female, 5'8" and started last week at 252 pounds. Now I'm 242.5, and my goal weight is 135-140. Is anyone out there able to give me an idea as to when you think I should get close to goal, with all the plateaus, etc that will be coming up?

I realize it's different for every one, I'm looking for a reasonable month range.

Thanks and happy dieting!!! :D

I lose very, very slowly. But considering I wasn't losing at all on other programs after ruining my metabolism by dieting so much over the years, I'm satisfied with my progress.

Rate of loss is VERY individual. The average for the program is 2-5 pounds a week, but everyone is different.

If you follow the program, though, you WILL get there, and faster than you would on most other programs.

Greetings Caligirl and WELCOME!!

Everyone is different and loses differently on MF. I started MF on January 22. I have lost an average of 2.3 pounds a week. I have had a loss every week and have not hit any plateaus. As I am closing in on my goal my losses have slowed but not stopped. Transistion and maintenance is just around the corner for me.

Welcome, Caligirl!

I LOVE this program!!! Nothing I have ever tried in my life has worked as easily as this one.

While I do tend to lose each week, it varies. Sometimes it's 0.2 lbs, sometimes it over 4 (but rarely) Usually, it's somewhere between 1 and 3 pounds.

I know it's good to set time limits on goals, but for me it was a stumbling block...I'd get discouraged and then console myself with food. When I started this program, I decided just to let it work it's own magic. As long as I'm compliant, my body determines the rest -- how much, how fast.

Congrats on your first week!! Cool, huh?
