My First Day!

I am starting Medifast today. I am leaving work at 10:00 am, and devoting the entire weekend to concentrating on and learning my eating schedule. I also plan on spending a lot of time with my 4-month old. I feel like I am neglecting him because he is in daycare :(

Hopefully I will be back here in a week with some results.

Hang tough this week....the first three or four days are the hardest! (for me). I'm just going into my 3rd day (had to restart because I was sick), and I'm finally slipping into ketosis again.

You'll have that 40 lbs. GONE in no time at all! :redprowl:

WELCOME! And here's to your first few steps.........

It's funny you say 'concentrate' - I really felt at the beginning I had to totally absorb myself in it, espeically to get through the first couple of week. It wasn't has BAD as I thought and now, a month into it - SOOOOOO VERY WORTH IT!

Just keep coming here - lots of GREAT support!

Well, the day is almost over and I survived! Here's my daily menu:

7:00 Oatmeal & 16 oz water
9:00 16 oz water
11:00 Shake
12:00 Chicken broth
1:00 32 oz water (went to the beach)
2:00 Granola bar (YUM!)
4:00 Chicken broth, diet Coke and 1 celery stick
5:00 Shake
8:00 7 oz chicken with seasonings, asparagus with ICBINB spray and salt

I will have my last shake at 10:30

How did I do???

You did terrific!!! But always remember the pickles and sugar free jello in between if a little more hunger hits ya. :eat: I struggled through my first day but by the second day, with pickles in one hand and sf jello waiting in the winds, things got much better. :thumbig:

I see 1 thing...you went 4 hours between your oatmeal and your first shake...Try to keep it around 3 hours to keep the hungries away...
And...
I'm only counting 4MF meals +1 lean & green. Is my math off? You should have 5 MF meals AND your lean and green! Make sure you're getting all your meals in!

Glad you made it through day 1, you may have 2-3 more rough days and then you'll be good (at least I was!) You're doing GREAT and let us know if we can help you at all!

Hi, from one beach lover to another, your math is OK, you just didn't list your last shake in the schedule. Sounds like you are doing great! Good luck!! Give lots of baby hugs! Your baby is precious!
